AC/DC Stephen King Masterpiece “Maximum Overdrive” The Greatest Fun Movie With No Redeeming Social Value
I love moron movies. Moron movies are movies with no real point, no redeeming social value that totally entertain you and are universally panned by the critics. A perfect example of a moron movie is “From Dusk Till Dawn” directed by Robert Rodriguez about a Mexican bar inhabited by Vampires starring George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. If you haven’t seen it, you should see it.
Anyway my favorite moron movie of all time is “Maximum Overdrive”. It doesn’t come any better than this with an awesome soundtrack that kicks in on all the key scenes by AC/DC featuring the awesome song “Who Made Who” which literally has your body and mind moving to the beat while your seeing the action of trucks and cars without drivers suddenly take over a town and mow people down! If you love “Who Made Who” you’ll love Maximum Overdrive. This is the only movie Stephen King ever directed and I thought he did a fantastic job making the ultimate moron flick! King also wrote the movie as well.
The movie is basically 90 minutes of mindless truck attacks, rocket launcher and Steam Roller attacks as people stuck in a Gas station try to stop machines that think for themselves from killing them with AC/DC blaring at full volume during the attacks. Its got plenty of death and gore, kids getting run over by steam rollers, people getting crushed by trucks and getting electrocuted and AC/DC. What more can anyone want?
