Actress Anne Hathaway Ex Boyfriend Pleads Guilty in Fraud - Don’t These People Realize They’re Gonna Eventually Get Caught!

I’m one of these people who never has done any crime because I can’t do the time. What I’m constantly amazed at are people like Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri who just pleaded guilty in a multimillion dollar real estate fraud case.

This post isn’t about morals and ethics but how people like Raffaello Follieri think they can get away with high profile fraud especially if wealthy people like billionaire Ron Burkle were defrauded as well as other rich people. Couple this with Follieri being in the public eye by dating actress Anne Hathaway, I really don’t understand how he thought he could get away with it. Basically Follieri admitted misappropriating at least 2.4 million dollars of investors’ money for his own use.

I have one major rule in life, don’t mess with people with power as they can crush you like an insect if they like. This guy did and maintained a high profile relationship with Anne Hathaway. I mean if he was going to defraud people, he should have kept a lower profile with less powerful investors. Note, I’m not advocating criminal acts or pursuing crime, but how smart is it to do a crime so high profile you’re eventually going to be charged and go to prison for. On one hand, Folliere must be extremely smart from a technical standpoint to pull the fraud off but how did he think he was going to get away with it in the long run? Or maybe, he thought it was worth it to live a great lifestyle till he got caught. Who knows maybe it was but a lot of people can’t do the time. Maybe he can.
