Australia Snakes on a Qantas Plane for Real- Pythons Actually
In a case of life imitating art, 4 snakes, 6 inch baby pythons actually, escaped from a container aboard an Australian Qantas Airways plane leading to the cancellation of two flights on April 14, 2009, all without Samuel Jackson’s participation. Unlike the 450 snakes that were loose in the original 2006 “Snakes on a Plane” for which Samuel Jackson did participate in, this time only 12 non-poisonous Stimson pythons were on the flight to Melbourne in a bag inside a plastic foam box with air holes on a flight to Melbourne Australia in a bag inside a plastic foam box with air holes in the plane’s cargo area. When the plane landed, there were only 8 snakes on the Qantas plane inside the box. Uh oh!
The 4 missing snakes were never found and Qantas cancelled the next 2 flights the plane was scheduled to fly and the plane was fumigated and put back in service on April 15, 2009. If these 4 snakes are seen again in the future they may be 3 feet long and if you find one and play your snake cards right, they could be “special guest stars” in “Snakes on a Plane 2″ direct to video sequel.
