If you’re bored and don’t know what DVD to rent next from Netflix, I suggest the greatest most underrated Punk Movie ever “Bad Influence” released in 1990 starring Rob Lowe in the Punk role and James Spader as the Yuppie Chump. This movie and Rob Lowe is awesome if you like “Punk type thriller movies” that you can laugh with not at. I don’t know why “Bad Influence” wasn’t considered a masterpiece. If you like or are entertained by movies like “Crank”, “Point Break” and “Beyond the Valley of the Dolls”, you’ll love “Bad Influence”.

Bad Influence is about a bored disillusioned yuppie wimp, Michael Boll (James Spader) who one day meets Alex (Rob Lowe) in a bar. Alex wheedles his way into Michael’s life and turns it upside down, over, around and through taking Michael into a roller coaster ride through hell until finally realizes Alex is a dangerous psychopath.

Watching “Bad Influence” is an entertaining good time to be had by anyone not afraid to see a movie without any redeeming social value that’s entertaining.
