I thought I’d share my experience with seeing a psychiatrist for stress and anxiety disorder which really has helped me get both under control in case it can help anyone else suffering from stress and anxiety.

As soon as you start any kind of job, you should always be prepared to be eventually kicked to the curb and fired. I’m not talking about mass layoff firings where everyone in a department is fired but individual firings based on you doing something that totally pissed off your supervisor or his supervisor, deserved or not, or layoffs where only certain people or positions are canned. The Best Offense is a Good Defense. Or more specifically a Good Lawyer.

I’m not saying this will work but have you ever heard of a person suddenly dying or being killed doing normal activities with a copy of their birth certificate on them? I sure haven’t. I’m convinced without any scientific basis that carrying your birth certificate with you may act as a talisman to protect you from sudden death or being killed by accident or being killed in a place you shouldn’t be, accidentally.

The greatest moment of my life wasn’t when I had sex for the first time, smoked grass, fell in love, graduated college, got a great goof off job but when I had my own toilet and bathroom all to myself and didn’t have to share my toilet with anyone.

I’m going to tell you something that it took me till middle age to realize and which is against what every enlightened person preaches: Trust your instincts as your first impressions are usually right about everything and don’t give things a chance if you have a bad feeling about them.

They say that you’re much more likely to die in a car crash then a plane crash. What they don’t say is, most car crashes occur instantly or in a few brief moments and when your plane goes down or is in trouble, you have time to realize that you are trapped in a helpless situation for which there is no escape. That is exactly the reason I will no longer fly. I can accept the concept of instant/near instant death or injury, though I don’t want it to happen but I can’t accept the fact of knowing the possibility of death awaits me in a matter of minutes and there’s not a thing I can do.

I don’t know if you noticed this but Heroes on NBC kills off more minorities then any TV show around! I’m a non-political oblivious white man and even I noticed this. I know at least 4 Blacks, 1 Mexican, 1 Asian and one Hispanic have been killed off this show and there probably have been more.

The best thing I ever did in my life is not have children. I’m not putting down people who have children but I basically couldn’t handle having a child emotionally and financially as well as health-wise. I’m convinced children bring all kinds of germs and viruses into the home that they pick up from school. I also would never have been able to afford taking an early retirement from my job at 50.

I just found out this weekend that we’re all alive today and not radioactive because of one man, Vasili Alexandrovich Arkhipov. No, I’m not on crack. Apparently if it wasn’t for Vasili Alexandrovich Arkhipov, World War III would have started during the Cuban Missile Crisis. For saving the world, not many people have heard the [...]

Mike Judge the creator of “Beavis and Butthead”, “King of the Hill” and director of “Office Space” is a genius. Until about 5 weeks ago before he named his Vice Presidential running mate, I was going to vote for John McCain. I’m writing this because a friend of mine was recently burglarized of almost everything he had and didn’t have renters insurance and now is totally despondent and relying on loans for minimum subsistence items from his parents to get by. I’ve always lived in a nice apartment in a decent neighborhood but I seem to be one of the only people I know who rents and has Renters Insurance.

Like a lot of people I have high blood pressure and it gets really irritating trying to find low salt items that taste good. Well if you love Spaghetti, after years of trying, I found a great tasting, low sodium spaghetti sauce called Middle Earth Organics, imported from Italy which believe it or not tastes better than any regular spaghetti sauce I’ve ever bought.
