CBS Jericho Meets Always Sunny in Philadelphia “From the Ashes”

I just read the funniest most hilariously sick comic book ever, “From the Ashes” which is like the CBS TV Show Jericho meets It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Stephen King Marvel Comics The Stand is Fantastic Should Be Taught in School

I know this is heresy to say but I’ve never been a fan of Stephen King books though I have enjoyed some Stephen King movies and TV adaptions, particularly the 1979 TV miniseries of “Salem’s Lot” and “Maximum Overdrive”. I’ve just had difficulty, for whatever the reason, in reading his books. All of which leads me to the Marvel Comics adaption of “The Stand” which is totally fantastic and should be used in High School as prime reading material.

‘Replay’ Greatest Time Travel Novel Brad Pitt Movie Never Was

If you are a fan of time travel, “Replay” by Ken Grimwood is a must read as it is absolutely the greatest Time Travel Novel ever written and was supposedly optioned at one point to be made into a movie starring Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, but somehow fell through.

Rock Musician Greg Kihn Horror More fun than Stephen King

This isn’t meant as a dig to writer Stephen King but believe it or not, rock musician (“Breakup Song”) turned horror writer Greg Kihn, writes more fun entertaining Horror. Greg Kihn’s Horror books are a great read that you literally want to read his novels in one go, they’re that much fun. Just as Stephen King’s books have been turned into movies, Greg Kihn’s should as well. Believe it or not, Greg Kihn is a better Horror writer than he is a songwriter and musician for which he’s had a very successful career.

Jan and Dean Forever! “When We Get to Surf City” by Bob Greene – A Good Read For Jan and Dean Fans

Bob Greene has always been one of my favorite writers as he writes with a unique and flowing viewpoint on interesting and offbeat stuff that most writers wouldn’t think about or touch. I’ve been a fan of his since his newspaper column days as his sensibilities are very close to mine and I own a few books and anthologies of his. When I found out by chance that he just came up with a book about touring with Jan and Dean from the 1990′s onwards, I couldn’t wait to read it because I’ve always been a Jan and Dean fan as well.
