If any of you are trying to put together a great quality Home Theater System but just can’t afford the cost, well this I put together this one for you which you can obtain from different online sources at your option if you wish. It’s kind of how I put my system together. If this can help you out, great. If not, maybe it will help guide you to what you’re looking for. This system is a combination of New and Used Equipment. I’ve left out used Video equipment such as DVD Recorders and HDTV’s. Used DVD Recorders never last and I’d never chance anything on a used HD TV.

Just saw the 2 Hour Premier of Season 3 of Heroes and while I thought it was very good, it’s also a rip off of Kobe Bryant the Los Angeles Lakers basketball star, the 4400 - a great cancelled TV series and Jeff Goldblum’s the Fly and I can’t say how so dissapointed I am by this.

To those of you have never bought an HDTV, I’m about to save some of you hundreds of dollars from making a serious mistake in buying the wrong size widescreen HDTV. I did this myself when I bought my first HDTV. Quite simply, the viewing area of a widescreen HDTV is smaller than the viewing area of a regular TV if they are listed as the same amount of inches. I’ve included a free 16:9 HDTV 4:3 TV Actual size converter

A few years ago, when the price was a lot higher, I bought for my bedroom the Panasonic CT-34WX15 34″ Widescreen CRT HDTV set and it was love at first site. This TV is absolutely perfect for the bedroom to watch from bed as the screen is neither too big or to small.

My home life revolves around entertainment: TV, music, DVDs but I hate clutter. Until a few years ago, I had around 8 different remotes lying on my coffee table and 8 different remotes lying next to my bed, which I had to operate individually in order to do anything for my home entertainment systems in my
living room and bedroom. This totally sucked. I tried a couple of cheap universal remotes and I had trouble programing them as well as using them and they screwed up besides. Then one day I saw the light and splurged on for me what was a lot of money for a Universal Remote - I bought a new Logitech Harmony 676 Universal Remote selling for $240 in the stores for about $150 online and its selling today for about $94 online. This was one of the best decisions I ever made on anything.

I personally think both Presidential Candidates made stupid choices for their Vice President running mates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. In the case of Palin, she hunts, fishes and loves moose stew. I don’t think that will get McCain the Vegan, Vegetarian or Peta vote.

Before you get the wrong idea, I’ve Been to the Rock Hall of Fame Museum and to my surprise I actually liked it quite a lot and would recommend anyone who loves rock to go. What I don’t like and think is totally bogus is to call it the The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when such “noted rockers” like Leonard Cohen, Madonna and Miles Davis are in it as well as others who don’t play rock music but Deep Purple is not!

A lot of people no longer listen to or buy CDs which is cool but if you’re like me and value audio quality, chances are you still buy CDs and want to listen to them on the best sounding CD player you can afford. CD players still greatly affect sound quality even if CDs are digitally recorded.

DVD Recorders are in my opinion one of the most falsely advertised and promoted Consumer products of all time because while most people know the good stuff, very few people are aware of the bad stuff until after they’ve purchased them. Having said that, you can still get good DVD Recorders for between $50-$100, the [...]

If you live in an apartment or condominium and don’t want to get your neighbors upset by watching movies or TV on Home Theater late at night or live in a house and don’t want to disturb your family blasting “Independence Day” on surround sound, there finally is a way to have your cake and eat it too! They’re called Pioneer SE-DIR800C HDPH Dolby Digital 5.1 Wireless Headphones.

Let me start out saying, for MP3 player and IPOD headphones, I hate earbuds. They’re totally uncomfortable, the sound sucks and they fall out of my ears when jogging and working out. They also can possibly cause ear damage. For some reason most mp3 players include them for free and they usually always suck! Anyway, after a lot of research and going through several different sets of mp3 player headphones, I got the Koss PortaPro headphones and they’re to my ears what a young Sophia Loren is to my eyes!
