CBS ‘Cold Case’ Interpretation of the Law is A Crime!
The CBS TV Show “Cold Case” makes me mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore. Once again they have totally misinterpreted the law and foisted their propoganda on the viewers. No, I’m not a lawyer but I’m not an idiot that accepts the garbage the awful writers of “Cold Case” dump on us either out of laziness and stupidity, as gospel. I admit it’s pathetic that I watch a show that has some of the worst writing in the history of television.
Cold Case has a history of arresting and putting the so called “bad guy” behind bars for non-crimes that they think are crimes. Amongst the many non-crimes that Cold Case considers crime worthy of putting one behind bars are the famous “you push me I push you back defensively uh ohh you just broke your neck”, you go swim a river on your own accord that I know you won’t be able to do without drowning and I don’t stop you and you walk on railroad tracks and I don’t stop you.
Well the episode that got me mad enough to write this blog was on last Saturday called, “Shore Leave”. What happened was, a Marine who was like the unofficial Marine Boxing Champion of his company, circa 1951, tried to return a stolen gun to a Sergeant who was going to blame an innocent Marine for it so the Marine would wash out. Not ethical I know but that wasn’t the issue. They got into a fight over this in which the Boxing Champ Marine threw or connected with the first punch and knocked the Sergeant down and he was about to continue the beat down when the Sergeant saw the gun and shot the Marine to stop him. I would call this Self Defense and I don’t think there is any Judge in the United States that wouldn’t. Cold Case had the guy arrested and thrown in jail like a common criminal! You would think this show could afford a technical adviser on things like this. But I don’t think this show respects their viewers intelligence and just doesn’t care. Yet I still watch this show because I have nothing better to do! Pathetic! You May Enjoy Another Blog I’ve written about “Cold Case” where I say they do an episode where they got someone who is innocent to confess to a Cold Case crime they never did and then is found legally innocent.
