I may be the only person in the United States who hates Craigslist and thinks they are a bunch of self righteous hypocrites. Your probably are saying come on, how can you hate a free online service. Very easily. On almost every Craigslist ad I tried to place in the past few years for paid computer help and services (specifically I needed computer help and computer services for which I would pay), they deleted my ads without warning, not explaining what I had done wrong and I had no avenue to correct this as far as I know. All because other anonymous people had the license to Flag it for whatever reason. When I would then rant on their forum, in several cases, people would bring out some minutiae rule that no one with a life would know and really didn’t have anything to do with anything. Craigslist Forum especially didn’t like it when I would write something along the lines of ‘you mess with me a law abiding citizen but let murderers use your site to lure victims’. I would have been willing to pay for the ads but as far as I know I couldn’t do that either because it was against Craigslist Policy. The bottom line is I just stopped using Craigslist.

To the people who somehow can use Craigslist for services, jobs, gigs, etc., good for you, I’m not against you, I hope you continue to use Craigslist. It didn’t work out for me. I guess I’m most upset because they let in my personal opinion, obvious prostitutes list their services but I couldn’t list ads for people to pay them for computer services because of technicalities or just people flagging me because they can. Call me a snob and not politically correct but I consider myself above a prostitute but in the Craigslist Universe, no one is above anyone else. Yay equality and political correctness.

While I personally think prostitution is a victimless crime, I do not understand why Craigslist allows ads that appear to be for the services of prostitutes yet at the same time Craigslist are concerned enough not to run legit ads offering to pay people for their help for computer services because of their rules and policy. Screw them.
