I admit this may be premature without seeing every single 2009 Super Bowl Commercial in advance but to me the most effective Super Bowl Commercial in terms of getting their product known is the “David Abernathy” commercial for Cars.com which to me is pure genius and I don’t think Cars.com could do better for their money. Before I go on, the Cars.Com “David Abernathy” commercial can be watched by Clicking Here What makes this commercial so effective in my opinion, much more so then the other 2009 Superbowl Commercials I’ve seen is that the product the commercial is selling is easily recognized and the commercial tells you what the product does and the storyline of the commercial along with the easy to remember product name, steers you towards the product which is in fact Cars.com. Hey they’re getting free PR here! The 1 Minute Commercial is compelling as you feel you’re watching the beginning of an interesting movie and the commercial’s point is made instantly without having hammering it into you. I wouldn’t be surprised in fact if David Abernathy becomes a movie like Buckaroo Banzai (rent it if you haven’t seen it) or a TV Show.
