Anyone who enjoyed the 2009 Super Bowl Doritos Crystal Ball Commercial made by Joe Herbert and Dave Herbert and voted the Number 1 Super Bowl Commercial by USA Today will probably enjoying seeing the Herbert Brothers previous unaired 2007 Super Bowl Commercial, titled “Duct Tape” which features the main actors of the Doritos Crystal Ball Commercial. This commercial was actually in the Top 5 of Doritos 2007 Super Bowl Contest but did not make the final winning cut to being broadcast in the 2007 Super Bowl. The star of the Crystal Ball Commercial, Steve Booth, the guy who throws the Globe into the Vending Machine, is the guy who is taped up in the “Duct Tape” commercial and the guy who throws the snow globe into his bosses crotch, David Hyden, is closest to the door but doesn’t have a speaking part in this one. Both Steve Booth and David Hyden are Cincinnati comedians and I can see Steve Booth use this commercial as a stepping stone to TV and movies. The dude is hilarious in the Crystal Ball Commercial.

The Herbert Brothers won 1 Million dollars from Doritos by having the Crystal Ball Super Bowl Commercial finish Number 1 on the USA Today Ad Meter for the Super Bowl. This is all that remarkable considering the Crystal Ball Commercial was made for $2,000 as opposed to the millions of dollars spent on some of the other Super Bowl Commercials.
