The suicide of San Diego Chargers QB Coach Dwain Painter ex wife Diane Painter prior to Super Bowl 29 in 1995 apparently started the 1994 San Diego Chargers Death Curse which today unfortunately added football legend Junior Seau from a tragic suicide, which brings at least 9, 1994 San Diego Charger players dead to date.

Here is unfortunately how the 1994 San Diego Chargers actually started and the victims to date:

Diane Painter, the ex wife of QB Coach Dwain Painter committed suicide by Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in her Car in her Pittsburgh suburb home Jan. 15, 1995, hours after the San Diego Chargers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania’s Three Rivers Stadium to win the American Football Conference championship and go to the Super Bowl. According to a NY Times article, Diane Painter was upset that she would not be going to the Super Bowl with her ex husband. A week after the Super Bowl, the son and daughter of Dwain and Diane Painter went to scatter Diane Painter’s ashes on a rocky ledge off the North California coast, one of Diane Painter’s favorite places. Somehow a freak 25 foot wave arose, sweeping Doug Painter and his sister Debbie Menta off the rocks and Debbie Menta was swept away and tragically died and Doug Painter was injured but survived.

The premature deaths of members of the 1994 San Diego Chargers followed:

Within 5 months of the 1995 Super Bowl, San Diego Chargers linebacker David Griggs died June 19, 1995 in a Florida car crash.

Running back Rodney Culver and his wife were killed on a Flight 592 ValuJet crash in the Everglades along with all 110 passengers on May 11, 2008.

Linebacker Doug Miller died during a Colorado camping trip after being struck by lightning twice on July 21, 1998.

Offensive lineman Curtis Whitley died from a drug overdose on May 11, 2008.

Defensive lineman Chris Mims died from an enlarged heart on Oct. 15, 2008.

Defensive end Shawn Lee died from cardiac arrest on Feb. 26, 2011.

Linebacker Lew Bush died of a heart attack on Dec. 8, 2011

Junior Seau committed suicide by a gunshot to his chest on May 2, 2012.

CBS The Good Wife “Pants on Fire” episode was a total insult to millions of viewers based on IMDB The Good Wife forum comments and an example of how poorly written TV Series have become. I am surprised that Actress Julianna Margulies would allow such a poorly written TV episode to air. Maybe Juliana Margulies character Alicia Florrick knows who murdered Rosa Torres and what was the fate of the three teenage defendants who were originally convicted of her murder because I sure as hell don’t know and neither do millions of viewers because this “Good Wife” episode was so poorly written. Its almost as if the murder plot was just a discarded throwaway for CBS and the Good Wife to take up half the episode.

What happened in “Pants on Fire” is that 3 teenage girls who bullied another girl were convicted of murdering her but the verdict has now been set aside because of problems with DNA testing. The DA’s Office plans to retry as they believe there is still enough physical evidence to convict but the 3 teenage girls are offered an “Alfred Deal” to be immediately released without retrial which means they agree that there is enough evidence to convict them though they don’t admit to the murder. Such a deal would not give them the opportunity to sue the State for Millions for being wrongfully imprisoned if they are truly innocent. All 3 girls must take the Alfred deal for it to be given or there will be a new trial a year away. Not all the girls want to take the deal as they think they’ll be found innocent and make millions in a lawsuit. Alicia then tries to solve the crime in 3 days and do something the Justice System couldn’t do for several years. Turns out Alicia may or may not find out at least one of the girls may or may not be the murderer.

At this point the episode and writing becomes a total insult to the audience and it is not clear to the audience if the girls took the deal or not and if one or all of them really murdered Rosa Torres. All I can say is I would think Juliana Margulies would have a say in the quality of the “Good Wife” and not allow such a half ass confusing ending to insult the “Good Wife” viewers. Life is so much not like a Hollywood movie. I thought I’d share this recent experience I had with a bully from my childhood past of 45 years ago in case any of you have a Spiderman Peter Parker Flash Thompson bully becomes best friend fantasy. It ain’t gonna happen and you’re better off not making contact with a bully from your childhood! (Updated Blog)

My bully and I were originally good friends playing on the same Little League team: we’d ride home and walk back together after baseball games, stop in the candy store for sodas and my father would give him rides home and treat him to pizza and hot dogs. We didn’t go to the same school but we were good friends who both loved baseball. When I turned 12 I went to another school and my Little League friend went to this school as well and at first I was delighted as I’d have my pal in my school. My friend was a lot bigger than me in size and when I saw him for the first time in this new school and came over to him with a big hello and smile he started to tell me to get lost and was totally mean and obnoxious. He didn’t hit me or anything but ridiculed me. For the next 2 years in school, he made fun of me every time he saw me and as he was a lot bigger than me, I didn’t challenge him to a fight. I found out during that time that his father had died and I kind of attributed his behavior to that. When I later went on to another school, I never saw him again and completely forgot all about him.

It’s now 45 years later and I discovered a forum on my home town which I had left after High School and I posted a question on the forum about some people I hadn’t seen for ages. The friend turned bully wasn’t one of the people I asked about as I could care less about him. Somehow I got a private message from someone on the board who wanted me to call them but didn’t leave a name. I should note I used an anonymous screen name on the forum and didn’t identify myself. I emailed this person back and said I’m not calling someone whose name I don’t know. He emailed me back and told me his name and low and behold it was my friend turned bully from 45 years ago. I hadn’t thought of him for all this time but I still remembered his name and everything.

I wrote him back and said that he was an asshole to me when we were kids after originally being my buddy in Little League and under the circumstances I did not want to talk to him or continue the correspondence. He immediately emailed me back with an apology and said he understands and wrote no excuses or explanations. I wrote him back and told him I appreciated and accepted his apology and there were no hard feelings. I told him a bit about my life and mentioned how my late father really liked him and how I was sorry his father died when he was 12 as well as writing that I hope his life has been good. Here’s where unfortunately reality sets in and life is like “Lost”- there are no answers and explanations. He emails me back and tells me his father didn’t die when he was 12 but died only 2 years ago and just wrote a few lines of “How is the weather mundane inconsequential BS” with no explanation of why he turned on me whatsoever when we were kids. Needless to say I didn’t continue “our reunion”! So if you ever have a chance to confront a bully from your childhood, be smart and don’t bother, there’s nothing to be gained and no lessons to be learned. Of course they have to get married first! I predict Jeremy Lin will be leaving the New York Knicks as a free agent with Mike D’Antoni gone at the end of this current season unless somehow Mike Woodson or whoever is coaching the Knicks gives Lin significant playing time, the Knicks make the playoffs and Jeremy Lin is happy with the offense. I think the chances of that occurring are slim.

If I said Jeremy Lin will be leaving the Knicks during Linsanity you would have looked at me as insane. Unfortunately the NY Knicks players, particularly Carmelo Anthony, are running the asylum and what was temporarily Shangri-La is now Apocalypse Now. I think there will be Zero incentive for Jeremy Lin to want to stay a New York Knick now.

I don’t understand why the New York Knicks didn’t trade Carmelo Anthony when he didn’t embrace Mike D’Antoni’s offensive system and whoever made this decision, I’m guessing the owner, will be the cause of the New York Knicks basketball team be the laughing stock of the NBA when it didn’t have to be this way. If the New York Knicks don’t trade Carmelo Anthony and Baron Davis for Pau Gasol now, they can give up on being a championship basketball team as well as a winning basketball team. The Knicks with Carmelo Anthony in the line-up remind me of someone who keeps running into a brick wall and gets knocked out and keeps repeating running into a brick wall thinking the outcome might be different this time. The word for that is Insane.

The New York Knicks clearly do not have any chemistry with Carmelo Anthony in the line-up. They were 8-15 before Carmelo Anthony was injured and 2-5 when Carmelo Anthony returned from his injury. a total of 10 wins and 20 losses with Carmelo Anthony in the line-up. In the games the Knicks played with Jeremy Lin starting (including the New Jersey game when he came off the bench) and Carmelo Anthony not playing the New York Knicks record was 10-3. Coincidence I think not.

The Los Angeles Lakers would love Carmelo Anthony and Baron Davis and they would trade Pau Gasol in a minute for them. The Knicks chemistry with Pau Gasol in the line-up would be awesome. The bottom line is, do the New York Knicks want to keep losing with Carmelo Anthony scoring 25 a game or win games? The New York Knicks need to decide real quick that this is Jeremy Lin’s team and pull the trigger and get Pau Gasol now. Mike D’Antoni incorrect statistics use in determining not to foul NBA opponents when ahead by 3 points with little time left on the clock likely cost the New York Knicks a 115-111 loss March 4, 2012 and probably has cost the Knicks and his previously coached the Phoenix Suns other games in the past when up by 3 points with little time left on the clock. D’Antoni apparently uses a Statistics Service that he claims shows that there is a 93% chance of a team being up by 3 that doesn’t foul with little time left on the clock winning as opposed to a 90% chance of the same team winning if they do commit a foul, a 3% advantage in winning for the team that doesn’t commit a foul being up by 3 points.

Unfortunately while the above statistic giving the advantage to the team that doesn’t follow may be correct, D’Antoni has incorrectly used this statistic not to foul. Specifically, there may in fact be an advantage to foul if the team is playing an opponent with a losing record or perhaps even a winning record. This is because D’Antoni has not broken down his Statistics in more detail to use against his specific opponent. Another example is the statistics may change if in the case of the Boston Celtic Game the opponent has 0 time outs left.

I’m sure there can be other variables as well like home versus away games, etc. The bottom line is D’Antoni is not using enough criteria to justify his decision always not to foul the losing team when ahead by 3 points with little time left in the game. Mike D’Antoni needs to get further statistical breakdowns in advance rather than make a universal decision based on not enough data. He has simplified his statistical analysis to the Knicks detriment. Even though Milwaukee Brewers Ryan Braun was not born unto 1983, Major League Baseball still believes baseball star Ryan Braun assassinated JFK November 22, 1963 even though Ryan wouldn’t be born for another 20 years after the fact. That’s just a technicality accord to baseball fans and Major League Baseball. Seriously, the existing Ryan Braun “Case” is just as ridiculous. For the record I think Ryan Braun is innocent but this case is a circus that could be answered by someone easily from Fed Ex. I also stopped following baseball for the last 25 years or so as it is without doubt the longest and most boring major league sport I’ve ever seen.

What I find bizarre about the case and I’m surprised no one seems to have brought up is that Ryan Braun proclaimed his innocence immediately and said the facts would bare it out but how was he to know so fast that his urine sample was not delivered in the time required by Major League Baseball? I’m sure there’s an easy explanation for this but what I find bizarre is that Ryan Braun blamed the person picking up his urine sample for not bringing it to a FED EX Office to send out. Braun said there were 5 FED EX offices opened in the area and there was one FED EX office opened 24 Hours yet the guy who picked up the urine said all the FED EX Offices were closed. Well they either were or weren’t. How difficult would it be for any news reporter to verify which is correct? .

Honestly, I don’t give a damn about Ryan Braun as I’m sure he doesn’t give a damn about me, but all he has to do is get FED EX to back up his claims and I don’t know why he’s not doing it. The 2012 New York Knicks Bench is the deepest bench in NBA History and if the Knicks continue to play as they do without any major injuries they have a great chance to be the 2012 NBA Champions if they can make it past the Juggernaut that is the Miami Heat. I grew up a huge Knicks fan growing up in the City in the late 60′s and 70′s, watching 2 great Championship teams play basketball the way it was supposed to be played- a team game. It was an era where with a High School Pass called a “GO” card, you could get into NY Knick and NY Rangers games for $1.50 regardless who was playing. I stopped following the Knicks and basically stopped watching NBA basketball for the last 20 or so years as the NBA basically became a circus instead of a team game with the exceptions of some teams like the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks. I’ve just started watching and rooting for the New York Knicks again when Jeremy Lin gave the Knicks “Team Spirit” and I’m seeing basketball again like the days of those great Knick Teams in the past via NBA Ticket online which for the price, around $30 a month to watch all games online live is a great deal.

What amazes me though about this 2012 Knicks team is how deep the team and bench is. I’m convinced this is the deepest team in the History of the NBA and maybe the deepest team in the history of Professional Sports. Props to the New York Knicks General Manager and staff who’ve acquired such a deep bench of good players as well as Jeremy Lin. With this bench in which there is no deep fallout between the first and second team, the Knicks starters don’t have to play 35 to 40 minutes a game and can be well rested for the play-offs. In fact the second team seems to be as good as some of the starters on other NBA teams! Anytime you can have a Baron Davis, J.R. Smith, Ian Schumpert, Steve Novak, Jarred Jeffries come of the bench, you have an incredibly deep NBA Team. Go Knicks! Here are my 2012 TV Pilot Reviews for upcoming prospective TV Shows I haven’t seen in the spirit of Dave Navarro who once reviewed Movies he hadn’t seen. I don’t know who comes up with these TV Pilots as most of them are so lame, trite, common and disposable they are destined for instant Failure. And yes I can do better than them. A TV Series which I mentioned many times in this blog, “I Fought the Law” about the great Bobby Fuller and the Bobby Fuller Four, sex, drugs, rock and roll, “American Graffitti meets The Last Picture Show meets JFK”, would be an instant hit. That’s my idea. So would a TV Show called “The Martian News” about Martians Reporting the News on Mars with a Correspondent in New York. “Coneheads” meet “Network”! The first line is my brief, hopefully accurate, summary of what the show is suppose to be about followed by my comments in the second line. Feel free to correct any of my summaries.

ESPN Politically Correct Witch Hunt claimed ESPN Anchor Max Bretos today and if I was Max Bretos I would hire a good lawyer and sue ESPN which lacks any common sense and seems to get pleasure throwing its sports anchors and employees under the bus. Max Betros was suspended for 30 days as a result of an ESPN employee using the Headline Phrase “Chink in the armor” on its mobile website about Asian basketball star New York Knicks Jeremy Lin bad game and Max Betros was unfairly punished in the backlash. The ESPN Website Employee clearly deserved to be fired for using an obvious racial slur in the Website Headline and I question the hiring process of ESPN to hire this dude in the first place as he clearly has no common sense and should know better than to use an obvious racially offensive term.

In regards to Max Betros who happens to be married to an Asian woman, it appears he innocently used the phrase “Chink in the Armor” in his TV report on a bad game of Jeremy Lin’s without realizing that people might deem it offensive. I don’t know if he wrote his report in advance but ESPN should have used common sense and realized it was not intentional when discussing the matter with him. I bet if Jeremy Lin saw this he wouldn’t be upset or bothered because Jeremy Lin has intelligence and a proper perspective unlike ESPN. ESPN sounds like the worst place in the world to work for. I was skeptical when I bought my Neato XV-11 as I thought nothing can work this easy and do such a great job at such a relatively affordable price (Retails for $399 but you can get Neato XV-11 $379 new by clicking this blue link) but incredibly it exceeds greatness! It totally cleaned my 2 bedroom condo, giving me the best vacuum cleaning I ever had getting rid of all the dust while all I had to do was push the start button and let it do all the rest while I was watching TV and reading comic books!

Basically the Neato works by charging it up for a short period of time and then all you do is press start and Neato does the rest without you. If there are areas you don’t want to have Neato Vacuum like where your Stereo and Computer wires and cables are all you have to do is put the black Neato included strips around them and the Robot won’t go into that area. I suggest you might want to buy an extra set or two of the Black Strips from Neato. When the Neato Robot is finished cleaning it returns back to its charger base. You should then empty the dirt bin which takes maybe 5 seconds and clean the filter top if necessary- another 5 seconds. The dirt bin can be cleaned by soap and water and put in the dishwasher and the filter the same. If you only use the Neato XV-11 just a couple of times every six moinths then there is no real need to clean the bin & filter unless they are really dirty. It is recommended the filter gets changed every 6 months.

You can also program the Neato XV-11 Vaccum Cleaner to clean by itself any days and time you want without literally doing anything. For me personally I just prefer to simply manually push the start button when I want the Neato to Vacuum. I also recommend you don’t throw out your existing vacuum cleaner and keep it for an emergency if needed.

The Neato XV-11 Robot Vacuum Cleaner System is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I just wished Neato would invent a “Raquel Welch Twenty Something” Robot! Supposedly NFL Head Coaches know more in their little finger than NFL fans like ourselves will ever know if you go by the Media and Pro Football Teams. I said what total BS. In the case of John Fox of the Denver Broncos, the fans certainly know more than John Fox and the Denver Broncos would have won more games if the Fans had coached them rather than John Fox! But this blog is not about, John “I Play to Not Lose but I Wind Up Not Winning” Fox, although it partial is, but rather about NFL Football Dumbest Plays that Coaches Enable that Should Be Totally Preventable. These plays cost teams games and seem to happen consistently in the NFL. The Main Point of this Blog is that each of these dumb pro football plays (I’m sure this is just a few of them) should never happen if an NFL Head Coach and his staff is doing his job:

1. The Quarterback Calling Time Out anytime before the last 5 Minutes or So of the Game

Of all the dumb plays (or this case non-play) in the NFL, the quarterback calling a time out anytime other than the last 5 minutes or so of the game (or 2 minutes of the first half) is one of the dumbest wasting a valuable time out when it could be needed best in the last minutes of the first half or at the end of the game. Incredibly it seems that all NFL Quarterbacks do this regularly. Basically what happens is there is a mix-up on the play call, formation, etc., and instead of just taking a delay of game penalty by letting the 30 second time clock run out, the quarterback takes a valuable time out instead of a 5 yard penalty. Unless it was 3rd and inches, I think 100% of NFL Coaches would rather trade 5 yards for a timeout. So why don’t NFL Coaches simply Instruct Their Quarterbacks Never to take Time Out in a Game unless its at the end of the half or the end of the game. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb aqnd Easily Preventible.

2. Hardly any time left in the game clock, your far away from Field Goal or Touch Down Range and the Quarterback throws a short pass.

Again dumb, dumb, dumb. What exactly does a short pass accomplish when you need to be in scoring range with time running down. The QB is better off just throwing the ball out of bounds taking stopping the clock unless its 4th down. Is this so hard for a Coach to tell his Quarterback?

3. Variance on the Scenario Above.

A Receiver catches a short pass with time running down. Unless the ball will be intercepted or its 4th down, the receiver is better off not making the catch as all it does is eat up time on the clock unless he can go out of bounds and stop the clock.

4. Hardly any time left on the Clock and the punt returner instead of just letting the ball roll towards the goal line when he doesn’t have a play, tries to catch the ball but fumbles.

John Fox’s Denver Broncos did this recently. Is it so hard to have a Special Teams Coach tell the Returner, don’t bother catching it and get out of the way unless you have a sure 20 yard return?

5. If the Punt Returner can’t catch the punt, then get the hell away from the ball!

As shown in the San Francisco 49ers Playoff loss to the Giants. Is this so hard to do? I can get the way out of a punted football. The 49ers Punt Returner didn’t and it glanced off his leg for a fumble. Is it so hard to have a Special Teams Coach tell the Returner get out of the way of the football if you can’t catch it before each Punt Return?

6. Trying to kill time off the Play Clock to help run out the game Not Stay inbounds

Don’t run to the sidelines when making a run or a catch when your time is trying to run out the clock. A Quarterback can’t tell his receivers or runners this?

7. Roughing the passer on a “failed” third down play.

I know its really hard for a player not to rough the passer on a third down play even if they aren’t aware the play failed- Not!

Just preventing one of the above from happening in a game might make the difference between a win and a loss and you’d think NFL Head Coaches would be aware of that and do something. Instead a lot of Pro Football Coaches would rather spend hours on Minutiae instead of a taking a few seconds and preventing their team from making a preventable mental error. If you’re into Walt Disney Endings where everyone lives happily ever after, then the new Kiefer Sutherland “Touch” Fox TV Series about an autistic child’s gift, is for you. Unfortunately I’m not and like to keep things somewhat real. Imagine if you were watching “24″ and no one ever fired back at Jack Bauer. That’s kind of like what you are getting based on the pilot episode of Touch. It’s like a bad “Fantasy Island” meets “The Event” in that everything seems contrived, not natural and total nonsense.

Here are some examples of what totally turned me off “Touch”. Warning this contains spoilers:

1. A Kid apparently agrees or is pressured to become a Human Bomb. Somehow a phone operator talks the kid into disarming himself with the promise of a free $10,000 oven for his family’s bakery. The kid disarms himself and that’s it with all his scenes. The reality is the kid will wind up being killed by the people who wired him up for betraying them and his mission. Of course that is not brought up or even implied.

2. A total stranger who sells restaurant equipment is told by a telephone operator he has just called that a kid will blow himself up and kill others unless he gives him a free $10,000 oven. The salesman says yes of course, no problem. Do you want to buy the Brooklyn Bridge from me.

3. A guy just videos on a phone a female Office Worker performing Karaoke and promises to make her a star. He does this by putting the phone with the video into a total strangers brief case. He never thought of just putting it on You Tube himself? Of course a prostitute in Japan sees the video, steals the phone, sets up a fan club for the singer and she becomes a star.

Its Lost Smoke Monster Man in Black Titus Welliver TV World and we’re just living in it. Titus Welliver is obvious a Character Actor God as it seems like he’s over every TV series at once. Doesn’t Titus Welliver sleep? Probably not apparently but Gods don’t need sleep. Somehow Titus Welliver manages to play a slightly different variant of the same character on every TV series but makes it different enough so they’re all separately distinguished.

I just some him on the new Keifer Sutherland Series “Touch” and I’m not sure if he’s going to be a regular or recurring character on it but even though he acted like he was “the bad guy” may in fact be a “good guy” for once.

“Killing Bono” is the funniest rock movie I’ve seen since Spinal Tap and its like a talent rock version of Abbot and Costello making colossal screw-ups like you can’t believe but keep on carrying on. Surprisingly the rock music by our Abbot and Costello played by their band Shook Up is very, very good and gives this great movie about Irish cohorts of U2 authenticity which is more than I can say for other movies of this type. The Acting and Directing as well as the music is excellent and the 2 leads, Ben Barnes as Neil McCormick, Robert Sheehan as his brother Ivan McCormick and main supporting actor Martin McCann as Bono are terrific and quite believable.

I wasn’t even in a U2 fan but will be re-listening to their music again and being more open to it as a result of this movie. The main gist of the movie is that Neil McCormick screws his brother of the chance to join U2 when they were just forming and no famous unknown to his brother so that they can form their own rock band and make it big in the 1970′s themselves. Neil McCormick then proceeds to screw up every chance they have by making terrible decisions. The brother isn’t aware that he could have been in U2 and when he finds out a decade later, well……

I don’t want to give away any of this great entertaining movie but its so good it will be one of the rare movies I’ll rewatch which I think I’ve only done for “Animal House” and “Angel Heart”. I’m surprised “Killing Bono” didn’t get greater acclaim. It’s based on a true story adopted from the book “Killing Bono: I Was Bono’s Doppelganger” by Neil McCormick which I can’t wait to read. I just read online about 10 NBC TV 2012 (Fall TV) Pilots which with the exception of one by Rosanne Barr, sound like the same recycled, generic, unoriginal, failed TV series which got NBC their lousy ratings in the first place. NBC TV is like an NFL Coach (Hi Denver Broncos John Fox) who plays not to lose and as a result doesn’t win. You’d think NBC would take some chances as they have nowhere to go but up. But Noooooooooooooooooooooooo! No wonder more and more people are watching Cable TV Series instead of Network TV. The Rosanne TV Pilot is called Downwardly Mobile a comedy starring Rosanne Barr as the owner of a mobile home park and its inhabitants. Sounds like a great, funny and original idea with plenty of potential.

Here are the Other 9 NBC 2012 Pilots (My personal comments are next to a brief summary of what it appears the TV pilot is about).

County- A drama about a group of doctors, nurses and managers in a struggling Los Angeles hospital. Wow how exciting, can’t wait. Yeah, right.

Chicago Fire- Firefighters from Law & Order honcho Dick Wolf. Well rescue me!

Go On- comedy about a sportscaster trying to move on with his life from a loss. How sad. Or should I say “so funny I forgot to laugh”.

Animal Kingdom- “House” as a veterinarian comedy. Can’t wait. Nah.

Friday Night Dinner- comedy about a quirky family that eats dinner together every Friday developed from an English TV Comedy. “Coupling” anyone?

Jimmy Fallon Produced Untitled Comedy- Not starring Jimmg Fallon about three guys in their 30′s who haven’t grown up who are parents. Wow sounds hilarious, not.

Next Caller Please- Comedy about a brash male Satellite Radio DJ and his new feminist Radio co-host. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Hilary Winston Untitled Comedy- Community writer Winston, we all know what a hit that show is, comedy about a shy woman who grows out of her shell and gets revenge on a fiance who dumped her. Wow, exciting, Yawn.

Daddy’s Girl- Comedy about a young woman living overseas who comes back home to discover her father is getting it on with the “Mean Girl From High School”. Wow, who cares?

If this is the best NBC can come up with its pretty pathetic. NBC ought to sponsor a contest where viewers can submit their own ideas for a TV Series and if NBC is interested gives the best ones a percent of the action if any ideas go to Pilot and Series. My personal idea would be “I Fought the Law” a “China Beach” type drama about the life and times of tragic Rock Star “Bobby Fuller” of “I Fought the Law Fame”, that would be part JFK Conspiracy Murder Mystery, part Hollywood 60s Sex, drugs and rock and roll and part Friday Night Lights/The Last Picture Show growing up in Texas. Ah the dreams.

I just watched the premiere of the new Fox TV Series Alcatraz, really liked it and can’t wait till the next episode and finding out more and getting answers to the time travel mystery. What I like really scares me though because I felt the same way about Lost and watched all six years of Lost Episodes that’s time I’ll never get back. Unlike the creators of Lost BS, Lost to me was not about the journey but the answers for which Lost was a colossal Shaggy Dog Story and a total scam and failure. The Creator’s essentially did not know the answers and basically wrote Lost on the Fly.

I hope in the case of Alcatraz the Creators do know the basic answers like how the people on Alcatraz from 1963 disappeared and arrived in 2012 un-aged, why they are committing their crimes, what their purpose is and who is behind everything. What scares me because of Lost for which TV Executives permanently lost credibility to me is that Alcatraz is being written on the Fly just like Lost. To those who haven’t seen the 2 hour Alcatraz pilot episode I recommend you do- it features a great didn’t see it coming twist at the end and hopefully Alcatraz won’t pull a Lost on us. April 1, 2012 is the premiere date of AMC The Killing Season 2 which seems appropriate as AMC and its arrogant egotistical Killing showrunner Veena Sud treated its Killing Season 1 viewers like a bunch of fools as many of us were bored by the slow moving contrived show but stuck with it because we expected a definitive ending with the answer to who killed Rosie Larsen. Basically AMC promoted the Killing to lead viewers to believe we would find out at the end who killed Rosie Larsen without any amds ifs or buts. But Noooooo! Even worse to this insult of AMC playing its viewers like fools, Veena Sud basically said if not implied to the media that she was proud of the Killing Season One finale and who said we owed viewers a definitive answer, yada yada yada.

I personally hope and expect the Killing Season 2 to tank because it will lose many of its Season 1 viewers because of how the Killing Finale ended and that the Veena Sud never gets another job in the entertainment industry. The bottom line is if you as a TV Viewer are tired of how TV Shows, TV Networks and TV executives treat you as a viewer the solution is The Killing Season 2 Audience Payback: Don’t Watch. I’ve recently received unwanted phone calls on my phone from 805-995-4454 which called me even though I was on the Do Not Call Register and just chose to ignore the Do Not Call List Law. They are telemarketers trying to sell auto insurance from it appears Cayucos, California in San Luis Obispo. The only way to stop them from disobeying the Do Not Call List Rules is to report them to the National Do Not Call Registry is by clicking this link and filing a complaint. Do not answer or return their phone calls.

If I had my way, unwanted phone callers (spammers) would get the Death Penalty! I hope these creeps don’t bother you again. As a general piece of advice get caller ID and do not answer the phone unless you know who it is. If you miss an important call the caller will obviously leave you a phone message if it is important enough.

Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos versus Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Rock Star against Rock Star it doesn’t come any better. If somehow the Denver Broncos manage to make it to the Super Bowl I expect that will be the Highest Rated TV Broadcast in the History of TV. Imagine when everyone saw the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show if you’re old enough and multiply that tenfold!

Chances are the Denver Broncos won’t beat the New England Patriots but I’ll be rooting for them just the same. Denver might have beaten the Patriots the first time they played this season if they hadn’t fumbled the ball that much and if Head Coach John Fox finally plays to win instead of playing not to lose. Playing to win means that you know you’re going to have to score a bunch of points to beat the Patriots which means when its 4th and 1 you go for the first down with Tim Tebow running instead of going for a field goal. It means you go for a long field goal instead of a punt and you throw play action passes and let Tim Tebow play the game his way not the way a traditional NFL Quarterback would.

What I’m amazed at is, has any second year NFL quarterback like Tim Tebow who hardly played their first year ever been subjected to such criticism and second guessing for turning a 1-4 last place team into an 8-8 Division Champion who has beaten the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs? Maya Rudolph, one of the funniest female actresses ever was born to play the role of Dalia Dippolito, wannabe husband killer, if a movie is ever made on the Attempted Murder for Hire Case of her husband Michael Dippolito. I just watched an NBC Dateline episode titled “The Ballad of Mike and Dalia” based on the Dalia Dippolito Case and Maya Rudolph immediately came to mind because of her attractive looks and the whole sick ridiculousness of the events that transpired. I realize that hiring a hitman to kill your husband is not supposed to be funny but the way it was presented on Dateline was outrageously hilarious like a real life “Roadrunner Cartoon” meeting “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. This was without doubt the unintentionally funniest episode ever of Dateline.

Basically the Dalia Dippolito Case involved a woman with 2 supposed lovers on the side who tries to hire a Hitman to kill her husband of 6 Months only to have the “Hitman” turn out to be an undercover policeman whose police department films and stages everything. We see the bad acting response to the police when she is informed her husband has been “murdered”, the lying police interview for which she doesn’t give it up even after she is confronted with the film in front of her, the “it was only an attempt to be on Reality TV” defense and much more. The husband from what I can tell is a paroled felon with a past criminal history involving fraud and grand theft who originally met his wife when he hired her services as an escort. One of the lovers who was the one who got the police involved in the first place barely knew anything about the woman he was involved with based on what was shown on Dateline. Dalia Dippolito was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years but is currently out on bail appealing the conviction. She may actually have a good appeal case as the “lover who testified on videotape and could not be cross examined” was actually in the country but had gotten out of testifying in Court because was supposed to be out of the country.

If you like the movie “No Country for Old Men” then you will will love reading Max Allan Collins “No One Will Hear You”. I unfortunately hated “No Country for Old Men” because of the film’s lousy last 20 minutes and I hate “No One Will Hear You” because of the similar lousy last 37 pages which sucked and rendered my non-stop reading experience a total waste of time. The last 20 minutes or so of “No Country for Old Men” ruined the movie for me and because of that I think “No Country for Old Men” was one of the worst movies ever and I would rather see an Adam Sandler movie than “No Country”.

Believe it or not, I think Max Allan Collins is a great writer with an amazing flowing writing style and use of words which served the first 350 pages of “No One Can Here You” excellently. As a result, I’m angry about what I consider a totally phoned in Amateur idiotically written last 37 pages which I consider a disgrace for an author of Max Collins stature. A dumb high school kid could have written those 37 pages better. Max Collins ought to be ashamed. Those 37 pages were amateur writing at its worst.

Why I Think “No One Will Hear You” Sucked WARNING: SPOILERS

1. The Serial Killer is a Computer and All Around Evil Genius yet his Computer ISP is traced through emails he sent his victims beforehand. Is Max Collins a total Computer dufus? This is so idiotic Collins ought to be ashamed. Even computer illiterates know about ISP’s and how easily they can be traced back to the sender.

2. The Picture of the Serial Killer showing on his different persona website, wearing a wig of different hair color with his prominent high cheekbones is not immediately recognized as the boyfriend of Carmen by the Crime Seen TV Team’s Computer Expert who had met him earlier with Carmen at a lunch. This is like not recognizing Clark Kent as Superman.

3. The Serial Killer leaves his trademark Black Pearl Roses in visible sight and his bed is the same one the serial killer murdered one of the victims in which is obvious to his girlfriend Carmen when she enters his bedroom for the first time. And this guy is suppose to be a Genius? As an aside, Collins basically telegraphs that Carmen’s boyfriend is the Serial Killer before it is officially revealed. What Collins should have done is have Carmen’s boyfriend not be the serial killer and have the whole part which telegraphed him as “Don Juan” be in fact a Red Herring and have someone else be the Serial Killer. Also given that the Serial Killer knew Carmen’s personal email account and sent something via that email to the Team, they couldn’t have thought that maybe the Killer was someone who knew Carmen? Duh.

The Indianapolis Colts are the Dumbest Football Team in the History of the NFL and probably the dumbest team in the History of Professional Sports. Actually the Indianapolis Colts are beyond dumb, the are Dumb Hypocrites which is even worse. As everyone who follows Pro Football knows, the Indianapolis Colts by having the worst record in the NFL are in the position to land Andrew Luck, the most promising Quarterback to come out of College since the Colts Peyton Manning, with the number 1 NFL draft pick. Yet the Colts are so dumb and stupid that they “on record” will be trying to win their last game of the season, a total meaningless game, that if they win and the St. Louis Rams lose, will get the Rams the rights to the number one draft pick of the NFL. Bottom line, by losing the right to draft Andrew Luck, the top of the 2011 draft quarterbacks, the Indianapolis Colts will be setting their franchise back for the next 15 years for nothing. Or even worse, a hypocritical stance that the Indianapolis Colts play to win for the sanctity of competitive Football. Yeah right!

Understand this. In the 2009-2010 NFL Football Season, the Indianapolis Colts were 14-0, having clinched the AFC’s #1 Playoff Seed and instead of trying to go for an undefeated Season, took out their starters in the third Quarter so they would not risk an injury in the playoffs and the Jets went on to win, 29-15, ruining the Colts chance for an undefeated Season. Do you truly think the Colts pulling their starters was for the sanctity of competitive football?

So now its 2011 and the Colts who I am renaming the Indianapolis Hypocrites say they are going to try to win their final football game, Sis Boom Bah, cause that’s how they role. Its hard not to stop laughing. What a dumb bunch of hypocrites. Think of it, if the Colts did not have the Number 1 Draft Pick in 1998, they would have never drafted Peyton Manning and then where would they be? So now the Colts have the same chance if they lose to draft Andrew Luck but they may blow it all by being dumb hypocrites. By the time you read this, the Colts may still wind up with the Number 1 draft pick and Andrew Luck, but not through any intelligence on their part but by either unintentionally losing or the St. Louis Rams losing.

I hope for Indianapolis Colts fans that the Colts get the Number 1 Draft Pick and Andrew Luck. UPDATE January 1, 2012: The Colts Luck Out and lose the game anyway and get the Rights to Draft Andrew Luck!
