Firefox 3 Faster Internet Speed SpeedConnect Internet Accelerator
I recently converted to Firefox 3 and one of the things I like least about Firefox 3, is the Google Web Accelerator is not compatible with it. I had been using Ascentive ActiveSpeed for a faster Internet Connection but somehow it wasn’t as effective when I could no longer combine it with Google Web Accelerator. The bottom line was it seemed like my Web Surfing Speed from my Wireless Cable Broadband Connection on my Laptop had gotten much slower and on a good day I’d get maybe 3100 KB’s Download Speed when I measured my speed on TestMy.Net that was now not coupled with Google Web Accelerator.
Out of curiosity, I tried something I never heard of before called, SpeedConnect Internet Accerator that I saw on Tucows with a good 4 Star rating and a free 15 day trial. This is a totally unsolicited uncompensated endorsement of this software by the way- whenever I find excellent new software and electronics items, I like to write about them on this Blog. Anyway, while the free trial apparently did not include all of the features my Internet Speed practically doubled at times and saw significant improvement when I was testing it on TestMYSpeed.com I was so impressed I just said to hell with this trial BS and for $25.95 bought it online with all the full features. From what I can tell the best way to Optimize it is to set it on Automatic, Press Optimize and save that setting (with the Full Featured Version). Now my Internet Download Speed has greatly increased and I’ve reached 6000 to 10500 KBS scores regularly on TestMy.Net whereas before I had SpeedConnect Internet Accelerator on Firefox 3, I could never reach 3800.
Bottom line is, if you are now using Firefox 3 and you want to Browse the Internet much faster on a broadband connection, I recommend SpeedConnect Internet Accelerator.
