Fox House Suicide by Casting Taub Will Commit Suicide (I Think)
Let’s say a premature goodbye to Taub on “House” as it looks like too large a cast has brought about his upcoming Fox “House” suicide, I think. Basically, “House” needs to give Jennifer Morrison (Dr. Cameron) and Jesse Spencer (Dr. Chase) some of their lost screen time back and Entertainment Weekly TV Columnist Michael Ausiello is predicting “A major character on a show we are obsessed with will commit suicide before the season is over — and no one will see it coming” Well I see it coming and I’m guessing its “House” and that character is likely Taub (Peter Jacobson) unless “House” would be kind enough to make it a murder suicide too and get rid of “Thirteen” (Olivia Wilde) as well who most of us are sick of. In the case of Taub, unless they’ve been setting us up for a red herring, the guy’s been on an emotional losing cycle for the last few weeks, financially and socially. While Peter Jacobson is an excellent actor, his character really adds nothing to the show and neither does “Thirteen” other than a pretty face and some lesbian sex. I really hope they don’t truly shock us and kill off Dr. Kutner (Kal Penn) as he brings humor to the table.
One thing I’d love to know is, do Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer get the same annual salary now for essentially cameo appearances on their own show if they appear at all as they did when they had actual roles on House? I have no idea how they structure contracts for actors but if they are getting the same salaries for essentially doing nothing some higher up is probably saying, we may as well play them and get rid of some of the newer cast as we didn’t need them anyway.
This is all conjecture on my part so if you’re a fan of Taub and/or Thirteen- is there such a thing?, don’t lose any sleep over this. Remember, Kenny died of a sexually transmitted disease on South Park and by a “miracle” he was on the following week! PS As an extreme long shot, maybe Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) of Law and Order SVU is the character Ausiello is referring to as she’s missed some future episodes with a collapsed lung and reportedly wants to stay at home to raise her child. Again this is total conjecture on my part as opposed to pure conjecture.
