Fringe X-Files on LSD Most Awesome New Sci-Fi TV Show
Before I go on, earlier in the year I wrote a review on this Blog of “Fringe” created by J.J. Abrams on the Fox Network that I now totally refute and was totally wrong. Though it took a bunch of episodes to get going after I wrote my initial review, Fringe is by far the best new TV Show this year and one of the best Sci-FI TV Shows ever. Watching “Fringe” is like watching the X-Files on LSD. I say that as a compliment.
What makes Fringe so great besides the excellent cast led by the amazing John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop, a totally mad scientist and that’s an understatement, Anna Torv as Agent Olivia Dunham and believe it or not, Joshua Jackson who does a great job as Peter Bishop, Walter Bishop’s son, is the bad guys and the incredible havoc they create by science. Unlike the X-Files, it seems like everything that has its “Freak On” is not a product of evolution but science. Fringe has given us drugs that turns men into Possum People, drugs that totally cause your skin to totally engulf your mouth, your nose and any open orifice causing you to suffocate, a way to teleport yourself to escape from a German Prison Cell to the United States but unlike “Star Trek” there are horrible physical ramifications, etc.
It seems like every episode of “Fringe” is freakier then the next and its the only show that I can’t wait for the next episode to begin. There isn’t as much “Mythology” that in my opinion caused the downfall of the X-Files and each episode stands out as its own, meaning you can enjoy Fringe even if you haven’t seen all the episodes. If you want to see what “Possum People” look like, watch Fringe!
