No one illustrates the importance of owning a band, business or product’s name more so than Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses. Musicians as well as businessmen and inventors can learn from him as no matter what you think, he is one smart dude. I can’t think of anyone who illustrates more than Axl Rose the importance of owning a Brand name. Quite simply, a Brand Name is everything and will get you everything, without it, you’re practically back to the old drawing board of starting over and proving yourself again.

Gun N’ Roses new album, Chinese Democracy is being treated by the Media and the Public as Rocks Holy Grail, an album 15 years and millions of dollars in the making. As Axl Rose is the sole original member of the band left, do you think if this album was released as an Axl Rose solo album under the name Axl Rose it would be treated as the Holy Grail? There are more original members of Guns ‘N Roses in Velvet Revolver, 2 Slash and Duff McKagan and as well as later day member Matt Sorum, then there are original members in Guns ‘N Roses, yet while Velvet Revolver has been more than a successful band, they haven’t attracted near the attention that the current Guns ‘N Roses and Chinese Democracy has commanded.

So what is the point of this Blog as I may be preaching to the choir - Namely any time you have the opportunity to own the name of your band, product/invention, business, that you are involved in, jump at it and don’t let it go by.
