HBO The Wire Deirdre Lovejoy Going for TV Record Shes Everywhere

At first I thought I was losing my mind as I seem to be the only one in the world aware of a TV phenomena that no one has noticed: Actress Deirde Lovejoy is on every TV show. Or maybe it just seems this way. Who? That’s what I said and I feel really bad as until I looked her up on IMDB I didn’t know her name even though it seems that she plays a variance of the same character in every TV appearance! Deirde Lovejoy best known role to date was Asst. State’s Atty. Rhonda Pearlman on The Wire, one of my favorite HBO shows. If you haven’t seen the Wire, you definitely need to watch the DVDs of all its great seasons. Oh, back to Deirdre. This year alone she has been on Medium, The Forgotten, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Saving Grace, Lie to Me and Bones and still has found time to be in the upcoming movie The Stepfather. For some reason I seem to confuse her with Blair Brown who she’s younger than but Blair Brown kind of acts the same way on Fringe. In fact I’m surprised she hasn’t been on Fringe yet. Oh yes, she was Lance Reddick’s lover on The Wire when he payed Agent Phillip Broyles and that’s how I get her confused with Blair Brown.
Even though she always seems to be the same character with different names in every TV show, she’s a good actress and I’m surprised she hasn’t been made a regular on one of the Law and Order Franchise type shows. At least now I’m not alone in alerting the word that Deirde Lovejoy is trying to take over the TV airwaves!
