I realize that most TV Shows like NBC’s Dateline and CBS’s 48 Hour Mystery are usually slanted one way or the other but I think Amanda Knox killed or contributed to the murder of British Student Meredith Kercher in the house they shared in Perugia, Italy just based on common sense seeing the evidence as well as her attitude. The only thing I didn’t quite get is that Dateline made it a point that Amanda was being kept in a 15 by 15 foot cell. Well if she was being kept by herself (which Dateline didn’t make clear) that’s not much smaller than my bedroom!

I know if I was accused or murdering someone and didn’t do it and could face the rest of my life in jail, I’d be freaking out and be a total nervous wreck. Amanda Knox based just what I saw on Dateline last night (as are my other comments here) just talks about everything in a cool, calm dispassionate manner and is keeping a diary in which she writes in the same cool, calm, dispassionate manner. Before you say the new common term, “there is no one way to act if you’re accused of murder and didn’t do it”, I say BS, you’d at least have some emotion in your voice and your writing, especially with the evidence against her.

Just from a common sense point of view, an innocent person doesn’t change their story of where they were the night of the murder 3 times and accuses and gets an innocent man, her boss, arrested for the crime, which Amanda did. Then someone used bleach in the House to try to get rid of all the blood. I can’t imagine someone who didn’t live in the House taking the time to do this. Amanda’s DNA was found on the bra Meredith Kercher was wearing and also on the suspected murder weapon along with Meredith’s DNA and Amanda’s boyfriend.

Of course, her attorneys are saying the Police bungled the investigation and contaminated the crime scene as they always seem to say. But given the overwhelming evidence against Amanda it’s hard for me to believe she’s innocent.

What apparently really got the Media and people of Italy ticked off is that Amanda and her boyfriend went to a store the next day to buy her underwear acting apparently as if nothing happened and supposedly one person overheard them talking about having hot sex that night. Whoever spoke to rebut this on Dateline (I forget who) used the excuse well she was locked out of the House and had no underwear. Good except I find it hard to believe that she didn’t have underwear at her boyfriend’s place where she spent a lot of her time or that a friend or the boyfriends family wouldn’t go shopping for her. Yeah, there’s no one way to act after your roommate has just been murdered in your House but this seems to be the worst way.

Anyway, this is just my opinion after watching Dateline and I’m not the one deciding her guilt or innocence in court, but in my opinion there is just too much evidence to think she could be innocent given everything.
