It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Three Stooges Meets Seinfeld on PCP

For some reason, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” on FX, doesn’t seem to get the acclaim and publicity it deserves. Perhaps its because the show is like The Three Stooges Meet Seinfeld on PCP and that’s putting it mildly and the media feels above praising this kind of show. Actually there was an episode when some of the characters were addicted to crack for an entire episode and it was funny as hell.

The beauty of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is it seems to raise the bar of totally vile, outrageous disgusting, obnoxious behavior each year as the show gets funnier and funnier. Sunny is about the 5 despicable people who own an awful bar in Philadelphia: Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee who is a bartender not owner (Kaitlin Olson), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Mac (Rob McElhenney) and Frank (Danny DeVito). Frank is Dee and Mac’s father. Danny Devito joined the show in year 2 and in my opinion made it better and is perfectly cast as a nastier Louie Depalma type.

In my opinion the current 2008 series is the best so far and the show is essentially Charlie, Mac and Dennis running around like the Three Stooges on PCP but in a Seinfeld type storyline, that is if Seinfeld was written on Acid with Dee being used as a verbal punching bag and Frank egging the insanity on.

The Best Episode I’ve seen this year has been “Paddy’s Pub: The Worst Bar in Philadelphia” in which a Newspaper writes an absolutely terrible review of the Bar. The gang goes to the reviewers office, played by Fisher Stevens, and at first is polite but with a minute revert back to their obnoxious selves. The next thing we see is the gang in the bar and Charlie all of a sudden tells them he’s kidnapped Stevens and he’s in the trunk. Charlie does things like this. In order to cover up the kidnapping somehow the gang does another kidnapping and they must go back to the second kidnapped persons house and get his diabetic cat. The trouble is they get the wrong cat. Its much funnier then this reads. This whole episode is available to see for free online as well as other episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia scroll to the bottom of this link after Clicking Here

If you want to watch the most politically incorrect show on TV with episodes revolving around gun control, abortion, steroids, underage drinking, health care, the handicapped, sniffing glue and drugs, in a sick, disgusting and hilarious manner with no redeeming social value, you should watch this show. Its easily the funniest show on TV.
