Don’t know if many of you noticed this, I certainly didn’t until I saw something on TV about the disparate public reactions to Britney Spears sister Jamie Lynn Spears and Vice President Candidate Sarah Palin’s unwed teenage pregnancy.

Basically Bristol Palin is almost considered a Superstar Role Model for being knocked Up and is considered courageous and other accolades while Jame Lynn Spears is being treated as someone who should be burned at the Stake. Her mother, Lynn Spears is criticized and treated with scorn as a a bad mother who didn’t raise daughters Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears, right. On the other hand, Sarah Palin is treated as a good mother because besides advocating abstinence, she is not abandoning her pregnant daughter.

From what I’m reading both of their mothers haven’t exactly turned out a family of model youth albeit in different types of environments. Still being the daughter of a Vice Presidential Candidate and a Governor means you’re also under the public eye. I don’t feel its fair that Jamie Lynn Spears is treated with scorn but Brolin Palin is considered a superstar.
