Living Together with Your Girlfriend and Save Money in 2009
If you’re a single male living in this bad economy, the easiest way I know to save money is living together with your girlfriend. If you don’t have a steady girlfriend then get one and move in together! You’ll be saving money if you do things right and have regular sex as well, what can be better. As someone who’s lived with several women, I know what I’m talking about!
Before I go on, the good thing about having a regular girlfriend is you don’t have to spend a fortune wining and dining to impress dates and you don’t have to waste money buying women drinks in bars to get a non-working phone number. Chances are if you have the right girlfriend, a nice dinner once a week will suffice and you don’t have to continually impress her by spending a fortune on her- if you do you’re with the wrong woman! Anyway, for this to work you need to have a girlfriend with a regular steady job/career or independent wealth and enjoy being with her all the time as well as having space in your place or hers for the both of you or know of a place you can rent and afford.
The most important thing is not to tell her that one of the reasons you want to live with her is to save money. That will not score Brownie points. However, you need to discuss the specific financial arrangements before you do anything else and I suggest you put it down in writing and do this in a tactful way so she won’t be insulted. Just say you’d like to put everything in writing so that there won’t be any confusion later on blah, blah, blah. I would then get her to agree to split the rent, utilities, phone bill, cable bill and Internet bill, 50-50 or some other % based on her income as opposed to yours. I’m guessing you’ll be saving at least $700 a month this way. The main thing though is if you don’t want to wake up next to her every day, forget this idea. But if you don’t mind waking up with her every day, do it dude! I apologize if I seem to be leaving romance out of the equation but I simply don’t know of an easier way to save money in 2009 with our economy and improving your sex life at the same time!
