Murder Suspect Amanda Knox Parents How to Waste Money- My Personal Opinion

Let’s start out with I have nothing against Meredith Kercher Murder Suspect Amanda Knox’s parents and this blog is not meant to kick Good People when they’re down. I personally think Amanda Knox is guilty or had involvement with Meredith Kercher’s murder, but that is not what this Blog Post is about. From what I’ve read and seen about this about this case on TV, it seems Amanda Knox’s parents have spent all their money trying to get Amanda Knox freed. That’s to be admired whether you think Amanda is guilty or not. They are her parents and if I was ever in a similar situation I would wish my family would do the same. What I don’t get though is and for all I know I may be totally misinformed (feel free to correct me), a great deal of their money has been spent on American PR. Why?
Bottom line is, Amanda Knox is on trial in Italy for murder, not the United States, and by spending money on a PR campaign in the United States, it doesn’t mean a damn thing to the people in Italy in fact it actually seems to make Italians hate Amanda Knox more and want to see her guilty as charged. The PR campaign has been successful if successful means getting US TV Networks to broadcast shows that show Amanda Knox in a favorable light as a “wronged person” done in by what is portrayed as a corrupt, idiotic Italian Justice System populated by misguided people. The trouble is what people in the United States think has no bearing on how Amanda Knox is being tried in Italian Court and I can guarantee you that the Italian people don’t appreciate their country, themselves and the Italian justice system portrayed in such a derogatory manner. I’m sure you could make similar arguments against Justice in the United States- hi, OJ. If the Knox’s thought by doing this campaign that “Super Obama” would come to save the day and get Amanda back to the United States a free woman, they are sadly mistaken. Hell we can’t even get a biological father, David Goldman, his son back from Brazil, so how do you think we’ll get a murder suspect back?
I know I’m playing Monday Morning Quarterback but I think the Knox’s money would have better been spent on more Positive PR in Italy the country where she is being tried. To use an old 60’s slogan, Fighting for Peace is like F ing for Chastity! And I don’t mean Chaz! The PR has been very well handled and is not the flashy campaign that the bloggers harp on about. The Knox-Mellas’s have done what they thought was best and it cannot escape your attention that there had been a sea change in attitude to Amanda and Raffaele. Look again! The case against them is pathetically weak. Press coverage has come from a small band of journalists, many of whom reach for hyperbole and dramatic headlines rather than report proceedings accurately. I’m afraid you are correct: you don’t know the case, or those involved and you’ll likely find that the foreign (non-Italian) Press and TV will turn the Italian Media and cause the Italian Judicial to reflect on the conduct of the investigation and subsequent charges against Knox and Sollecito.
I have been in the Courtroom in Perugia many times. I have no bias. I am however well informed about the case and have reaches an opinion based on direct experience, not on reading tabloid tittilation or bloggers’ “opinions” based on the little or nothing they know.
