I strongly recommend anyone who wants to get a night and day improvement in their CD Audio Sound to get a Musical Fidelity X-10 V3 Tube Buffer (even if you have a Tube CD player like I have) but you need to beware about something that I’m observing people pulling scams on selling this incredible great audio accessory online used.

Fact is Musical Fidelity no longer has the Musical Fidelity X-10 V3 Tube Buffer in stock to sell and it can not be remanufactured because they used a unique tube called mu-vista of which there were only 4800 in existence. What this means in plain English is, unless you somehow find someone who has the Musical Fidelity X-10 V3 Tube Buffer but never used it, of which the chances are pretty low, you’ll have to buy it used, whereas lies the Possible Scam. The Musical Fidelity X-10 V3 Tube Buffer you see only has a life of 10,000 Hours. I’m assuming that if you have it plugged in your power socket and never pull it out, this means if will last about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 years. That’s still acceptable to me as I have 2 of them and only plug it in when I play my CD player. The problem is that people who sell the X-10 V3 used to unsuspecting buyers don’t tell them how many hours it been used and what approximately the remaining useful life is.

I own a Jolida JD-100A Tube CD player as well as a Doge 6 Tube CD Player (one is in the bedroom and the other one in the living room) and when I added the Musical Fidelity X-10 V3 Tube Buffer to them their was a night and day improvement to an already excellent sound and audio quality is fantastic. I play mainly Rock and Blues albums, mostly from the 60′s and 70′s, and this combination makes the music come alive. I definitely recommend you buy one but make sure you know how many hours its been used first and when you get it, only power it up when you play CDs, so it lasts 5 years for you.
