Open Letter to Google Why Don’t You Clarify Your Adsense Policy
This is an open letter to Google to address a significant problem in your Adsense Policy System that helps neither Google or Website Publishers that run your ads. As it is virtually impossible in my personal opinion to contact a live human being in your Google Adsense department, I am writing this open letter.
Specifically, why can’t Google clarify by providing specific illustrations of what content you consider to be against Adsense policy, specifically what you mean by adult or mature content and violent content? All I ever get back on the forums is the general “If you think it could be adult or Mature or Violent Content” don’t write it. Well nothing personal, that is not helpful to me. If you allow no nudity whatsoever in images just state that. Does Adult or Mature mean you are not allowed to discuss for example Sarah Palin’s daughter having a child out of wedlock or you can’t discuss why people cheat on each other? I don’t expect you to give endless examples but as a billion dollar company surely you can afford to pay someone to write better guidelines. In regards to your policy about “Violent” content does that mean we can not review a violent movie, say we enjoyed a violent movie or write about the War in Iraq? Hope you get the drift.
In the long run if you clarified your policy, it would as I said help both publishers of websites and Google to avoid conflict and problems better. Thank you for your time.
