If you’re looking for a great affordable home theater sound system that will also sound great playing CDs, Orb Audio Speakers (Click Here to Go To Their Web Site) rule! I have their Mod 1 System which consists of 5 Orb Satellite Speakers and their compact, powerful Super Eight subwoofer which is more than enough for an apartment or condominium. I actually have two Mod 1 Systems: 1 for my living room and 1 for my bedroom. The sound is incredibly rich and full and cosmetically the speakers and subwoofer look great and are perfect for people who hate clutter. I originally found out about Orb 5 years ago from an Audio forum where everyone raved about them. Many people have not heard of Orb as they do not allow retail chains to carry their products and instead sell direct to customers via their online website and market through Audio Magazines which has led them to be very successful.
One of the reasons I bought my Orb System is that CDs sound great on them besides DVDs and Digital TV. I prefer to listen to all 5 speakers and the subwoofer when I listen to music which is mainly classic rock and Blues. The sound is as I mentioned previously incredibly rich and full as well as pokey and to me CDS never sounded better. DVDs and Digital TV sound fantastic as well.
