Having just seen female murder suspects Amanda Knox and Jodi Arias featured on two separate CBS 48 Hour Mystery prime time TV Shows these two young women give new meaning to the word Cuckoo. I don’t usually like to call a person “Nuts” but these 2 women are “Nuts” in my opinion. Even though they’re murder suspects an ocean apart- Amanda Knox of Seattle is being tried in Italy for the murder of British Exchange Student Meredith Kercher and Jodi Arias won’t be going to trial in Arizona until 2010 for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, these women in my opinion are practically one in the same. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they were both abducted by aliens from outer space at one time in their lives. To me they’re like real life characters out of the X-Files, in fact if they ever make a third X-File movie, they should base it on them. They can cast Sofia Vassilieva who plays Ariel Dubois on “Medium” in the role of Jodi Aris by the time this movie is made.

Without going deeply into their particular cases, both of these women apparently committed murder of people they knew suddenly for no reason at all and then went about their business as if nothing happened, like they had just sneezed. Amanda Knox and her then boyfriend (also a suspect) after Amanda’s roommate Meredith Kercher was discovered murdered, went to a store the next day to buy Amanda underwear acting as if nothing happened without a care in the world and supposedly one person overheard them talking about having hot sex that night. Jodi Arias states the she and Travis Alexander were both attacked in his house in Mesa, Arizona and Travis was shot and stabbed but somehow she managed to escape but instead of contacting the police and calling 911, she just went about her business and went ahead with her plans for the week and kept a date with another man in Utah and then went back to her home in Yreka, California without saying a word. Same old, same old. It wasn’t till 5 days later that Travis Alexander was discovered murdered. Jodi says, “I know that people will look at me and say, ‘Oh, yeah. He really meant a lot to you, didn’t he, by the way that you just left him there.’ Not only that. It’s that they — they don’t even think that this — they think that this is a fabrication.” Golly, Jodi. You think?

Both of these women speak in the same sweet serene, calm soothing manner with the same pretty, angelic appearance and in spite of all the overwhelming evidence against them simply deny they had any involvement in the victims murders and neither of their interviews with the police were consistent or made much sense at all. It’s almost as if they think by denying everything it will make what they’re saying true. I guess if they’re somehow against all odds found innocent get cast on the next Bachelor or Dancing With the Stars.
