Props to ELENA SATINE Please Release “Free Fallin” Your Version on “Cold Case” Was Better than Tom Petty
I just saw and heard an amazing performance of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’” by a singer/actress/model named Elena Satine on CBS’s Cold Case and to my utter disappointment it apparently is not available commercially. Before I go on, props to Elena Satine who I admit I never heard of till I saw her on “Cold Case” last night where she did a great job acting and singing and to me was positively enchanting performing “Free Fallin” which included an operatic interlude of “Va, pensiero”, a chorus from Verdi’s opera “Nabucco”. For those who didn’t see the episode, the guy staring at her is her Cold Case character’s father who disproved of her not following Opera but changed his mind after seeing this performance. Her character was recording the cassette for her school project
Anyone who reads this Blog knows how I think Cold Case is a fascist, idiotic, moronic joke, but this episode with Elena Satine titled “Triple Threat” was actually really good. I hope Elena Satine releases an album soon which includes this arrangement of “Free Fallin”. Apparently she has no albums out which is a shame. If you have a chance to watch this episode of “Cold Case” do it. This chick was great!

I looovveee her version of free fallin…she has a music myspace http://www.myspace.com/elenasatine and she posted a bulletin saying that she would LOVE to release it but the recording belongs to “Cold Case” so she can’t but that she was thinking of re-recording it on her own. I wish the studio would just release it, there have been soooo many people asking for it!
P.S. she REALLY needs to make a record, she is such a rock star!!!
