Right to Self Defense CBS TV “Cold Case” Denies Civil Liberties
CBS needs to fire whoever is in charge of the scripts to their hit show “Cold Case” as they have no conception of the law whatsoever in this totally idiotic show- yes I’m an idiot for watching it – as this show promotes violation of civil liberties as well as promoting physical assault on people and denying the right of people to protect themselves when physically attacked. CBS and Cold Case acts like the United States Constitution was never written. The latest Cold Case episode to get me steamed was “The Brush Man” which basically decided that a person doesn’t have the right to self-defense when assaulted by a convicted killer trespassing their home who they asked to leave and that people who take the law into their own hand by assaulting people are good guys.
I’ve complained about this fascist show before, feel free to read previous blog posts I’ve written about Cold Case by Clicking Here, Here And Here and one would think that CBS could at least afford someone who understands the law and the United States Constitution to oversee their scripts. As far as the specifics about “The Brush Man” episode, a married father of one, physically assaulted his kid for catching him have sex with another man in the woods. “The Brush Man” finds out about this but instead of contacting the authorities- he is just an acquaintance to the family who the father had previously told to stay away from him and his family, decides he’s going to trespass on the guys home, not leave when the guy asks him to leave and then slug the guy full force in the face. Oh, the guy doing the assaulting had previously killed someone in a fight and did 7 years for manslaughter. The guy who’s attacked in his own home then kills the guy when I think he had his back turned to him. For that, the Police apparently arrest the guy for murder when this is a slam dunk case for self-defense and the “Brush Man” is looked on as the innocent victim when he was in fact the attacker. Cold Case seems to have the impression that its OK for people to physically attack “so called bad people” and the “so called bad people” don’t have the right to physically defend themselves from attack.
I find it amazing that the networks ban TV ads like Peta’s for being too sexy but they promote the denial of civil rights and civil liberties like the right to defend yourself when physically attacked. But hey, we’re the country that almost made it possible for Sarah Palin to be President.
