She looks like the biggest liar in the world!

The only people that want her to stoop to that level are the Obama supporters. The rest of the people are being motivated to like her even more because are they defensive about her being attacked by rumors like yours.

So, eventually, she will be the one who is not only vindicated in a tasteful way, but the public will respect and defend her even more. And the public will respect you, Us magazine, dailykos, and Bill Maher that much less.

I wonder how much her daughter will be showing by election day?

It is kinda fun watching it play out.

Trig is very lucky to be in a family that will love him and be able to care for him very well, regardless of his Downs Syndrome.

I’m not saying that she’s not the biological mother but she has not in any sane manner simply stated that she is. The fact that she is or is not the biologic mother by itself isn’t the issue, the issue is if she’s lied and how she didn’t do anything to dispell the rumor other than “sacrifice” her daughter.

Gov. Sarah Palin gave birth to her fifth child at 6:30 this morning at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, her spokeswoman said today.

The boy’s name is Trig Paxson Van Palin. He’s 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

“The governor’s labor began while she was in Texas, and I do know that she got on a plane and landed in Anchorage late last night,” said Palin spokeswoman Sharon Leighow.

Leighow said the governor and her son are healthy and resting comfortably today.

The baby wasn’t due until May 18. “It was quite a surprise,” Leighow said.n

I certainly don’t want the government to care about whether or not you have the sniffles, or if I am upset at my BFF, or who boinks whom. I am not a child, so I don’t need parenting. And my kids are being take care of by me.

No. I don’t look to our government as parents. Do you? So having problems parenting a teenage girl has so very little to do with whether or not she would be a good VP or President.

I am a pragmatist, not an idealist. When I point out that what are you doing is wrong, I am doing only that. I am not optimistic that it will stop. There are too many people like you with the childish “Well, they are doing it!” attitude.

Oh, I forgot to say, it seems you’re an idealist and I’m a realist/pessimist. I totally agree with you that in an ideal world celebrities, politicians, people in the public eye wouldn’t be expected to deal with mudslinging, rumors, etc. and it wouldn’t influence them not to have careers in politics, entertainment, etc.
I just don’t think that’s going to happen though. I realize that it has to start with someone but I’m not willing for it to be me though. I would never knowingly say or write something embarassing about a person in private life or who unknowingly/unintentionally becomes part of public life.

As far as these rumors, she didn’t do anything to stop them and in fact has encoraged them by her bizarre actions.

I’m sure Obama would have no problem producing a birth certificate or DNA tests but why would it be necessary. In the case of Palin it is and it was, because it’s an issue of credibility. In the case of Palin she thought it was better to answer the question to use her own unwed daughter’s supposed pregnant time rather than to simply produce a birth certificate. You think that’s good sound judgement. I don’t!

Can you list some examples of what she preaches which she didn’t apply to herself?

Forgot to say, McCain is saying how she sold the State Jet/Plane at a profit when it was a $600,000 loss. I guess its OK if a Presidential candidate can’t add or subtract and embellishes the truth.

Do you think that just by agreeing to run for office that she deserves to be subjected to a set of vicious rumors, and she is required to stoop to their level? Of course she doesn’t.

You are confused as to the cause/effect. It is some media companies and bloggers like you that believe that by being a candidate, by definition she deserves whatever unfounded crap people can think of to throw at her.

It doesn’t have to be this way. You have consciously chosen to be a mudslinger, as have others. Simply because you do not like her. Have you started any rumor blogs about Obama? Perhaps you feel justified because you have seen your candidates injured in the past. Sorry, it is always wrong.

She was addressing a church congregation, so she spoke in terms that can relate to. She asked them to pray that there is a plan, and that it is God’s plan.

I know exactly what she meant. In terms I relate to, she was saying “let’s pray that what we have done is the right thing, and will turn out well.”

I am quite non-religious myself. (Yes, I am pro-choice, atheist Republican — there are lots of us.) But I have friends, acquaintances, and family who do believe in God. When they speak in terms of God, I convert that automatically to my beliefs, and have no problems understanding what they are feeling or trying to express. When speaking at a church, I would expect a public speaker to be able to express affairs in terms that the church attendees would expect to hear. When speaking anywhere else, the speaker should speak in secular terms.

So this is not a big deal to me.

Do you think it was wrong for Joe Biden to begin serving his term right after the horrible tragedy in which his wife and daughter were killed? Shouldn’t he have been at home with his remaining 2-year-old and 3-year-old kids?

Palin’s kids have their father around to help out (whom I suspect is pretty capable), plus there are teen-age daughters and a 7-year-old to help out with the infant(s). Who did the Biden toddlers have around to take care of them when he went to Washington D.C. to serve as Senator forever?

In regards to presentation, they could have hired an actor like William Shatner and he’d bring more presentation on her speeches.

If she didn’t preach this family values stuff, I wouldn’t care one way or the other about her kids but the fact that she does and that’s what the Republicans want, means yeah I’d want a candidate who practices what she preaches.

The bottom line to me is there are thousands of better qualified candidates and McCain demonstrated no common sense by picking her and not spending considerable time with her beforehand.

Having said that, I don’t know how that idiot Bush who I personally hold responsible for the deaths of every serviceman in Iraq, was re-elected. If people are stupid enough to elect McCain and this Hillbilly Bimbo, then they deserve their lack of common sense.

There is a lot more to a speech than the text. The presentation of a excellent script can result in a boring speech if not done well. Presentation is Obama’s stength also. Do you think he personally writes all his speeches?

Her daughter Bristol is very lucky that her mom didn’t burden her with the lifelong guilt of having prevented her mother from being the Vice President. Would Bristol and her upcoming baby have been better off if she had refused and remained governor? Would Trig be better off is she is a governor or VP? How exactly is she harming her family?

There a lot of pregnant teens who have stay-at-home moms. So even if Palin had never even run for mayor, there is at least the same chance that her daughter would be pregnant.

Does a woman have to have perfect Stepford children who make no mistakes to be an acceptable VP to you? Does this requirement also extend to a male candidate? If not, then you are a sexist.

I wish my girls were old enough to have enjoyed watching it. Governor Palin came off as an impressive strong self-made poised focused intelligent articulate good-humored woman.

It must really drive you guys nuts to see her so totally un-phased. My guess is that you have only strengthened her resolve. That is a common trait of successful leaders.

And, surprisingly, these early vicious personal attacks have probably given her a shield of invulnerability. Many people will just assume that other problems (like the TrooperGate issue) are also false, like these internet rumors.

I am sure you are even more desperate now to dig some personal dirt on her.

And about the baby Trig … he is one very lucky and loved baby. Whoever his mother is.
