Sniping Ebay Fake Snipe then Real Snipe to Win Ebay Auction!

As I’ve mentioned repeatedly on this Blog, Ebay’s auction system is totally idiotic because Ebay allows people who have not made any bids to place a bid in the final seconds of the auction. Unless you can’t make a bid in the remaining seconds of an Ebay auction or are afraid you’ll forget to make a bid, all you are accomplishing by bidding on Ebay prior to the closing seconds is bumping up the price. This is good for the seller but accomplishes nothing for you except paying more. The only way most people win Ebay Auctions is by Sniping- making your final bid in the closing seconds before someone else has time to get another bid in. I physically can get any Ebay bid in with 2 seconds left in the auction but unless its something I have to have and can’t get anywhere else, I won’t bother with Ebay Auctions, as I can usually find similar priced items online. In any case, here’s my Ebay Sniping strategy including the “Fake snipe” for you to win your auctions. I’ve never used Auction bidding Software or Auction Sniping Software so if you think you can do better then my method, go ahead with Auction Software.
Update: Please note apparently its been so long since I actually participated in an Ebay auction that they’ve apparently added a bid clock that goes down by the seconds and you can now place a bid without confirming it. What I’ve written is still valid but you may not need a seperate window to keep track of time remaining.
1. To begin with, unless there are no bids or you won’t be able to make a bid at closing time, don’t make any bid until 5 seconds are left in the auction. You are just wasting your money. Note, that by placing a bid if there are no bids and no bids or low bids follow, the seller can still under another Ebay screen name bid just so they don’t have to sel it to you at that low price. Your call.
2. Open up 3 separate windows on your computer and go to the Item on Ebay.
3. In the first window, don’t do anything but revise the window every few seconds or so until 5 seconds are left in the auction. You are just using this window for Ebay timekeeping only.
4. In the second window, you are going to make your Fake Snipe Bid. The purpose of the Fake Snipe bid is to force your competitors to make a premature bid taking up valuable seconds. They may even just bid without having things filled in advance which will take up even more valuable seconds. ENTER YOUR “FAKE BID” anytime prior to 10 minutes left in the auction and CLICK ENTER. Your bid will not be placed till you CONFIRM YOUR BID and you actually click enter. You do not want to Confirm this Bid until there are 5 seconds left in the Auction. SO IN PLAIN ENGLISH, 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE EBAY AUCTION CLOSING YOU WANT TO HAVE A WINDOW OPEN THAT IS ASKING YOU TO CONFIRM YOUR “FAKE SNIPE”. Do not click enter until 5 seconds are left in the Auction. Make sure this is the screen that is in the Second window, not the initial bid screen! Again do not click enter for this screen until 5 seconds remain in the auction.
5. On the third screen is going to be your “REAL SNIPE BID”. ENTER YOUR “REAL FINAL BID” anytime prior to 10 minutes left in the auction and CLICK ENTER. Your bid will not be placed till you CONFIRM YOUR BID and you actually click Enter. You do not want to Confirm this Real Final Bid until there are 3 seconds left in the Auction. SO IN PLAIN ENGLISH, 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE EBAY AUCTION CLOSING YOU WANT TO HAVE THIS THIRD WINDOW OPEN THAT IS ASKING YOU TO CONFIRM YOUR “Real SNIPE BID”. Do not click enter for this real Bid until 3 seconds are left in the Auction which you can do by counting 2 seconds after you’ve made your “Fake Snipe Bid”. So in plain English, 2 seconds after you’ve made your Fake Snipe Bid you’re going to make your real snipe bid and press enter in the third screen.
In summary 10 minutes prior to the final closing of the Ebay auction, you are going to have 3 Windows Open on Ebay. The first window has the auction item and time remaining which you will constantly refresh. The second window will have your confirmation bid for your “Fake snipe” which you will press enter with 5 seconds left in the Auction, no time before or after. The third window will have your confirmation bid for your “Real Snipe Final Bid” which you will press enter with 3 seconds left in the Auction, 2 seconds after you’ve placed your fake snipe bid. I can’t guarantee you will win every auction but you will win most of them by following these instructions exactly. They’re not complicated once you practice it a few times. Good luck on winning your Ebay auction.
