Supernatural on CW Most Improved TV Show of the Decade! Did Supernatural Producers Make a Deal with the Devil!

I’m guessing a lot of you who are reading this Blog, don’t have Supernatural on the CW on your must see TV list which I could understand in the past but not now. For all I know, maybe the producers of Supernatural made a deal with the devil because the show is Awesome with a capital A now - I’ve never seen a TV show improve so much so shortly. Quite simply Supernatural is one of the best shows on TV now, its like it left “Buffy the Vampire Slayer Sensibility” for a maturer, meaner, nastier more intense vision that works perfectly. Mind you, I always enjoyed Supernatural in the past it’s just that it somehow seemed a less adult more juvenile show in its earlier years. Supernatural is the only show that having some kind of “Mythology” actually makes this a better show and gives it better structure unlike the X-Files, which in my opinion ruined that show.

The biggest change Supernatural made was casting Misha Collins as Castiel the Angel Soldier of God. Whoever cast Collins deserves a huge promotion and an Emmy for casting. Both the character Castiel and the actor are fantastic and are “One”, the same way Martin Landeau was a better “Bela Lugosi” than Bela Lugosi in his Oscar performance in “Ed Wood”. Misha Collins deserves an Emmy for his performance and I can see him heading for movie stardom. As ridiculous you think the character of an Angel Soldier for God is, Collins makes the character totally real and believable with total charisma without being over the top. Castiel saved Dean Winchester, one of the 2 leads, from Hell and now has an influence on Dean.

Another change is they got rid of the two terrible actresses playing the support roles of Bela and Ruby, albeit they now have a different actress playing Ruby (Ruby is a demon who occupies one female human body at a time) who is OK and definately better than the previous Ruby.

The 2 leads Sam and Dean Winchester played excellently by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles respectfully are now more suspicious and less trusting of each other because Sam has part Demon Powers in him and Dean is just back from Hell and the storylines seem to be building up between a split between Sam and Dean. Of the 2, Dean is the just do it all action type while Sam is the more sensitive think before you act type.

Supernatural is actually like a Supernatural Road Trip where each week Sam and Dean go on the road to a different location to investigate and in all likelihood kill some Supernatural Being which may or may not be part of Satan’s plan. They’re assisted and guided at times by their late Father’s friend Bobby and fellow “hunters” like themselves. Only recently has Castiel been “added” to the group.

I don’t want to give any more away but if you aren’t watching Supernatural now because it did nothing for you in the past, I’d recommend you give it another chance.
