The Joe Biden versus Sarah Palin Vice President Debate Should Be Like the New York Yankees Playing the Little League World Series Champs
Usually in sports when a good team plays a really bad team, the final score is usually never a blow out like most of us expect, which is why I stopped gambling years ago. The Joe Biden versus Sarah Palin debate is one of those over matched events except I can’t see how Biden won’t crush her in the debate unless the questions are so bad, no answer will really make a difference. Actually I really don’t think debates make much of a difference in getting someone elected or not. Take the 2004 Kerry versus Bush debates. I think Bush was exposed for the idiot I think he is just by his speaking style and Kerry clearly came out as clearly the smoother more intelligent person but Bush crushed him in the actual election.
In one corner you have a woman that has gone to 5 different colleges (is that a Guinness Record) to get a degree and has experience being a TV Sports Reporter, the Mayor of a Town of 5,500 and the 2 year Governor of Alaska with a population of 880,000 with a family that sounds like something out of “My Name is Earl”. In the other corner you have a Man who is a Law School Graduate, a practicing Lawyer, and a 6 Term Senator of Delaware (population 853,000) who took care of his children after a tragic auto accident.
If Biden doesn’t debate like he’s playing not to lose, and the questions aren’t yawners that Palin hasn’t memorized all her answers like a Robot ahead of time – this should be the New York Yankees beating the Little League Champs 100 -0.
What I’m worried about though is Biden not debating for the knock out and generic dull questions that even a crack head high school drop out could answer.
I’m just hoping that the public see’s Sarah Palin for what a lot of us truely believe: a woman politically over her head who for some bizarre reason seems that think she’s more qualified to be Vice President then the thousands of people who were and a woman who thinks she can run the country when she couldn’t even control her kids who, based on what I read in the National Enquirer, got high, knocked up and addicted to Oxycontin under her watch. I’m praying Brad Pitt’s “Bad Disney Movie” doesn’t continue.
