The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore The Walker Brothers The Walking Dead Greatest Record Ever!

This is an encore salute to the Walker Brothers on a Blog I wrote earlier about The Walking Dead trailer and the ‘Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore’ the Walker Brothers greatest recording and what I consider to be the greatest record ever made! I’m praying that AMC’s The Walking Dead TV Series uses “The Walker Brothers “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” in the first episode as they used it perfectly in the Walking Dead Trailer shown at Comic Con 2010. I actually hope that “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Any More” becomes the theme song of “The Walking Dead” which looks like a sure fire hit based on the Trailer and the Walking Dead Comic Book Series. For those that don’t know, “The Walking Dead: is about the Zombie Apocalypse. The hero Rick as shown in the trailer gets shot making an arrest, is in a coma, recovers then find everyone dead and can’t find his family and goes to find them where he’s rudely welcomed by The Zombies!

As I said The Walker Brothers “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” is in my opinion the greatest single recording ever made as its absolute perfection and one can listen to it 100 times in a row and never get tired of it. The Stars were aligned when The Walker Brothers recorded “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore”: The lead vocalist Scott Walker (Scott Engel) is perfect, the chorus is sung perfectly by Walker Brother John Walker (John Maus), the production and arrangement by Johnny Franz and Ivor Raymonde is perfect, the bass and drums are perfect and the orchestration is perfect and of course the song is perfect. The Four Seasons Bob Gaudio originally wrote “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” with Bob Crewe and it was Frankie Valli’s first credited solo record. Frankie Valli’s version is a night and day different arrangement than The Walker Brothers version which was the Big Hit.

I predict if The Walker Brothers “The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” is featured in the first episode of “The Walking Dead” which I believe will be a hit TV series, there will be a major Walker Brothers revival and The Walker Brothers records will be in demand again.
