Video Longest NHL Goal

On March 18, 2008 Rob Davison of the New York Islanders scored a 197 foot goal on the Toronto Maple Leafs Vesa Toskala in goal. It was Rob Davison’s first goal for the Islanders. In fairness to the goalie the puck took a wild bounce in my opinion.

Video Longest College Hockey Goal

On 29 January 2007 University of North Dakota Robbie Binz scored the longest goal in NCAA Hockey against the University of Minnesota when he flipped a clearing attempt which bounced past Minnesota goalie Jeff Frazee.

Video Longest NBA Basket

Baron Davis, then of the Charlotte Hornets, score this officially credited 89 foot basket (the announcer says 92 feet) against the Milwaukee Bucks on February 17, 2001 with 7 tenths of a second left in the third quarter. Click Here to See the Video The actual pro basketball record for the longest field goal was by Jerry Harkness of the Indiana Pacers of the ABA (American Basketball Association) who on November 13, 1967 hit a 92 foot shot at the buzzer to beat the Dallas Chaparrals 119-118. Sorry I couldn’t find a video of this online.

Video Longest College Basketball Goal and Greatest Winning Shot in Sports History

Last but no least is what I consider to be the greatest game winning shot in Sports History as well as what I think may be the longest basket in College Basketball history. On January 31, 2005, Jordan Snipes of Guilford College scored this incredible game winning shot against Randolph Macon with .6 seconds left to beat Randolph Macon 91-89 in overtime on this 90 foot basket. Jordan Snipes incidentally is the all-time leader scorer in Guilford College basketball history. He scored a career high 34 points in the game, on 9-12 shooting, 6-7 free pointers and 10 of 10 from the free throw line. This is without doubt the greatest game winning shot I’ve ever seen in Sports.
