Why Can Perez Hilton Call Someone a “Bitch” but You Can’t Call Him a
Before I get flooded with hate comments, I like Perez Hilton and enjoy reading his website. I am sick though of the politically correct “do as I say not as I do” behavior of self righteous people. As I generally believe in free speech within certain limits, I wouldn’t have a problem with Perez Hilton calling (or wanting to call) Miss California USA a “bitch” because he doesn’t agree with her viewpoints on same sex marriage if it was then acceptable for people to call Mr. Perez a negative insulting term back based on his sexual preference? Sorry, I’m too much of a coward to spell the word out for the politically correct police and I’m also not advocating its usage.
Basically, why is it okay for Perez or anyone else to call someone a “Bitch” but not okay for someone to call Perez a “F” back? Shouldn’t there be some consistency? That’s my whole problem. Either people should be allowed to say any insult they want or not at all. Why should the fact that its for a politically correct cause justify the usage? I’m not advocating calling Gays or anyone else names but why should people be allowed to call others names for politically correct causes?
The same thing happens in sports and everything else in life. It seems to be OK for people to talk and make jokes about “white man’s disease”-not being able to jump high in basketball but if someone makes a statement about the swimming skills of black people that’s considered, racist. I just don’t get it.
Feel free to comment on this without using obscenities, threats, etc., as maybe I’m missing something as I don’t get any of this.
