I’m sure that most of you reading this post have seen a certain nude picture of Lynda Carter online and I’m not talking about muddy still photos taken from the movie “Bobbie Joe and the Outlaw”. I, like I’m sure many of you, dismissed this photo because it was also propagated online that it was a photo shopped picture. As a result, I hadn’t thought of this Lynda Carter photo for years nor bothered to look at it again. The other day though I stumbled on an interesting controversy online reported on several different blogs in the past in which a lot of people insist that Lynda Carter did in fact pose nude for a “faux” Playboy Centerfold picture to be used in the movie “Apocalypse Now” for which Lynda Carter was to portray a Playboy Centerfold in “Apocalypse Now” and even though this Lynda Carter “Playboy Centerfold” shot was not used in Apocalypse Now and Lynda Carter scene(s) was deleted, the nude picture online is genuine and not photo shopped. Oh to clarify further, apparently there were production delays on the set and eventually Lynda Carter had to begi filming “Wonder Woman” so she left “Apocalypse Now” but after her “Centerfold” shot had been taken.

I consider the Lynda Carter Apocalypse Now Centerfold circulating on the internet an urban legend which possibly can be true. In the movie, the Centerfold used was that of actress Colleen Camp who played the Playboy Centerfold in the movie. Rumor is the picture of Lynda Carter online is really that of Colleen Camp with Lynda’s face photo shopped on. Yet other sources have said its really Colleen Camp’s face photo shopped on Lynda Carter’s body. I don’t know if we’ll ever know the answer to this but thought I should bring this to me readers attention to decide for themselves. The pictures are above and I apologize for leaving out what you wanted to see but unfortunately there are some rules that this Blog has to abide by beyond our control. Let me know what you think. Another rumor is that Mr. Playboy, Hugh Hefner has the original Lynda Carter centerfold in his private vault with instructions to destroy it when he’s dead. Aw, Hef, give a brother a break!
