The LCD TV has a 7-inch LCD widescreen that offers a high-resolution, high-brightness display. The built-in ATSC/NTSC tuner for both analog and digital channels and the built-in antenna enables you to receive crisp reception of your favorite channels - and it will work after the digital to analog transition on February 19, 2009. The AXN-8701 comes with an additional external antenna to help receive stronger reception. The portable player features A/V input for external audio/video sources. The built-in twin speaker system allows for multiple people to watch at once or you can plug your headphones into the headphone jack to enjoy your favorite programs without disturbing those around you. The rechargeable Lithium-Polymer battery offers you a sufficient amount of time to watch several of your favorite shows without having to frequently recharge the battery. Portable TV includes an AC power adapter as well as a car adaptor (used by plugging into the cigarette lighter of your car) so you will be able to have unlimited use on a long road trip. Remote control, A/V cables and instruction manual are also included with portable TV player. |

Works great but upgrade the antenna |
Bought this for my wife and she loves it. She uses it in her car while waiting for the kids to finish baseball practice etc.
She uses it in a fringe reception area where the rooftop antenna won't receive many channels. So I replaced the stock antenna pole (just the pole part) with the 34-3/8" Replacement Telescoping Antenna from Radio Shack ($5 bucks). Now she gets all the Seattle channels and the over the air digital channels are clear and fill the whole wide screen. so far so good! |

Nice, portable HD TV |
I use this as a kitchen TV to be able to watch the evening news when doing my dishes. It replaces a 21" non-HD LCD TV. I have it directly connected to a cable feed. I like the fact that the unit is small, it sits nicely on my microwave oven. If I were using it as a portable TV, the light weight would be a great feature, but in a fixed, set top type of use, every little bump of the cable feeding it causes the TV to move and/or tip over. This TV is meant to be portable, so I am still rating it high.
Picture quality is nice. The unit's size and the fact that it is an HD TV are the main qualities of the TV that I was looking for.
My only complaint is as others have pointed out, the remote does not control volume!
I still consider the TV well worth the cost though as it is a good match for my needs. |

great little tv for the price |

I received this little tv today and couldn't wait to get home to see how it did. I love it; it's perfect for the kitchen! Set up was a breeze. I don't get a couple of the local channels but do get the one I wanted most and a lot of other channels I didn't think I would get. If you are thinking of purchasing a portable digital tv, this is a great one for the price. I would recommend it to my family and friends. |

It Works! |

Was very easy and intuitive to set up. Using the built in antenna and being inside a steel framed office building, the unit picked up 25 channels clearly and perfectly. Works very well, the image is excellent, very clear. Brightness is adjustable. Volume and tonal quality is acceptable given its size. Definitely worth the $$$. |
